  • Donation Rewards & Vault Credit System Update
A new important update has been posted covering the Donation Rewards bug, the reset of incorrect Donation and Platinum credits, the upcoming reclaim system for previous tracked donations, and the new Vault freeze/maintenance behavior. The goal is to remove bug-generated credits, protect real donation history, and rebuild the system in a cleaner and safer way going forward. - Jack Of Blades

Animated or not?

As most said, animations are a must for me. I can get past no sound, but usually if a game doesn't have animation it doesn't hook me as much.

I prefer animated or semi-animated games. Static images require deeper involvement in the story and what's happening. Also, my problem with static images is that they take too long to describe a one scene.

It doesn't really matter. I've played good non-animated games, there's no need to animate them. I think it is more important to have very good rendering. It's worth noting that just the image doesn't mean much either. I've rendered with RTX 4080 and I have great content, but I have to say that the main focus is the story. Without the story, everything else is just a picture that a pervert looks at.

Done well it 100% makes a game better, but bad animation kind of breaks a game for me

If not animated then it must either have a good story or hot scenes with good dialogues (high quality renders not mandatory for me ! ).

Animations is necessary if build well. But rather than unnatural looking and robotlike moving animations, I prefer its not animated at all. Story is more important at that point

If the art is good and the sound effects match, then non-animated will work for me

I've always found that the presence of animation can completely change the immersion level for me, sometimes it adds to the experience and other times it feels like a distraction, but either way it's interesting to see how different studios approach this aspect of game design.

I can live without animations if the game is very good (graphics + story), but I treat it as a big minus and by default I look for games with animations.

with animation for sure, but I don't discard a game if it doesn't have it, if the game is good I can put up with it

I am fine with either. But in my opinion, if they are choosing to make animated it has to at least be decent otherwise it actually detracts from the game.
