  • Donation Rewards & Vault Credit System Update
A new important update has been posted covering the Donation Rewards bug, the reset of incorrect Donation and Platinum credits, the upcoming reclaim system for previous tracked donations, and the new Vault freeze/maintenance behavior. The goal is to remove bug-generated credits, protect real donation history, and rebuild the system in a cleaner and safer way going forward. - Jack Of Blades

Animated or not?

Animations are great in a game if done well, but I'd take really nice stills over a bad animation any time.

I prefer animated but if the renders are great it´s ok if it's not, too.

For me, the barrier to appreciate an animation is higher than to appreciate a still scene. This means that for most games, animations actually lessen the immersion on the game (particularly the 5 frame low effort animations some devs produce). Good animations may hold my interest, but I'd say most of the times they break the flow of the game, and as such are not worth it.

I personally don't care either way, although poor animations can ruin a scene/game.

Animated, but i think if animation takes more than 3 sec - sometimes it's just too much and looks worse than some simple animation

Either put in a good animation, or do no animation and spend the effort on expanding the game in other ways. Mid or poor animations don't contribute to a scene, IMO.

I do like animations if done right.
Just pictures combined with a good story is great aswell.

Just imagine a game like ''Midlife Crisis'' before being abandonned with good animations OMG

I prefer animated games. I do not mind still images if there are many for a single scene. I hate it when there is a lot of dialogues in the same still image.
