Same. It surprises me sometimes how many people are here using the forums.
Before covid and during the lockdowns I might have become really active on here if I knew about it then, but now I'm just too burned out to spend time on yet another community.

Exactly what I'm talking about
Thankfully im already in your discord server. I'd rather lurk on here than being forced to access something I already had access to. 2 years btw. Like someone else said. I come on here, see something new, download it, and fuck off.

Yea, I've been a long time Lurker. And this is just a Pain in the rear. I have a massive amount of time going through the threads and stuff. But I never post. This is probable the first time I think I've ever posted. And I wanna say my account is well over 1 year old If not two (Sorry, can't remember when I signed up lol)
Jan 2023 and his first and only post. Checks out. Hah

Don't mind me, just jumping through a hoop.

Well, i really hardly even talk to real people in real life, why would i ever interact with people whose face i don't even know? Who are you? Who care about me? Who care about you? Nobody!

While it would have been less annoying to the majority of users to count "time signed up" for the Member+ designation, it makes sense why they didn't. I agree that discoverability is pretty much nullified with this move, but at the same time discoverability is what gets sites targeted. It's a double-edged sword.

Even if there weren't restrictions on visibility and LC went the other way (as you suggested, no questionable lewds and translate everything to step-relationship) it's more or less the same result. Karens gonna Karen.

The one upside of the Member+ approach is that even if a dedicated Karen lurks and posts long enough to discover and report content, the host may not care as long as it's not readily available to the public/search engines/etc.

I completely agree with everything you just said, even if it is to "save" links for being reported, not only the amount, but the fact tha you need to keep posting feels more like a measure to make the site look not dead more than to protect the games

Hi, all.

I'm the deviant that makes
Burned and Malignant, and I want to voice my displeasure at this new active member thing.

Lewd Corner has been a very reliable hub for my updates. It's actually the only hub I maintain. For months, I've been working away on V.3 of Burned and excitedly inching toward the day I can post it here for everyone to enjoy.

Except now, not everyone is going to be able to enjoy it.
Love Burned, and I get your point. I do not love the new system either. But if the alternative is no Lewd Corner at all?

I actually like the idea of the active member badge. I like how people are getting involved and posting. I don't have a super popular game (due to missing some of the key kinks that people come here for), but it is nice getting the extra traffic and having people post about the work I did. I get how this will hold some people back from seeing certain games like yours (I am a fan of Burned), but I think it will help prevent or at least mitigate some of the other underlying issues which is the main reason for the change.

It's good for community engagement but such restrictions never work in the mid to long term.
Whatever taboo content is still public even if a bit harder now, and still subjected to unwanted negative attention to this forum.

I was wondering what happened, and of course I find the best active game developer both explaining it perfectly and fighting on our behalf... also I hope this counts towards being "active"

It does unless the thread gets nuked.

The thing is LC also wants the games to be available to the site as they were before, but unfortunately Karens being Karens, they would just keep reporting! Ik the active time is such a pain in the rare , everyone's got get things done and so one has the time to spends hours in a community, yet there is nothing much we can do about it, so lets hope for the best

Let’s be real: most people visiting this site and playing these games are trying to get off. They don’t have the time or inclination to post meaningful replies on a forum. When I’m not actively engaging with an update I just released, I use this site just like any other anti-social pervert, spending maybe five minutes on this site doing the following:

1. Clicking ‘Latest updates.’
2. Finding a game.
3. Downloading the game.
4. Closing LC and playing the game.

If I didn’t have Dev Status, I would not have the motivation to jump through the hoops to find the hidden section where my games are currently located. I love you all, but I simply don’t have the urge to spend 16 hours actively nitpicking the finer points of NTR with strangers. Hell, even with Dev status, I can't find the Burned and Mal pages without going through the notification button.

Foster an active community by all means, but please don't force it by restricting access to my games. I put an absurd amount of work into these projects—like ‘oh my god what the fuck am I doing with my life’ amount of time—and when I’m done, I present them exclusively on Lewd Corner.

Call me selfish, but I don’t just want the quality active users playing my games; I want the anti-social perverts, the basement trolls, and undercover feds to enjoy them, too. I want the shame-filled fappers who never say anything because they’re too busy crying in the shower afterward.

At the very least, can Admin remove the sinner status so I can be lumped in with the easy-to-access normie games? I’ll happily remove/censor any iffy screenshots. Hell, I’ll even pull some Fuck95 BS and create a taboo patch… that will probably end up being like 90% of the game, but whatever.
happy to hear it from a developer aswel tbh i think this is just temporarly there is enough sites who dont have iues like this, they just need to migrate to another host who just doesnt give a damn

I really like your game, I hope I'll be able to discover the update, if I ever get access to the member+ section.

I love your games and follow you other places as well. We the disturbed will rind your games one way or another.

Not sure what would be the good way to do this that would work everyone, the other option would be put some kind of hidden mechanism that would hide even more these games.
I do agree that this will make harder for new people know about yours and others amazing works, I mean when someone new find LC by chance (without anyone else recommending), what will make them stay and try to get some rank?
Yeah I definitely think this is going to make it difficult for the devs to attract users now that we have to go this rigmarole just to get access. I also wonder about new users, how will they know about this? Most people don't really look at the announcements to try to discover the whole hidden games section on some random forum in the first place I imagine.

I figured I'd take this thread as an opportunity to make my first post, since the place I could of made it in now hidden lol. I just wanted to say that I love Malignant, and if I have to do this crap to see yours, and other games like yours, here on this website, I guess it's worth it. Kinda hope other "certain" Devs. do this to as well to help us lurkers post more.

I'm all for using preventative measures to avoid this place facing too much scrutiny from prudes, especially if it means not losing the site host, but let's be honest, there is a limit to anyone's patience, no matter how horny you are. I don't know where that limit begins but I assure you LC has reached it. Choosing between repeatedly making inane comments about porn games or conversing with misanthropic degenerates, and spending multiple hours running this site in the background like a form of marginally less ****philic crypto mining is not worth access to games I can find elsewhere.

I'm not saying there should be a massive banner on the front page reading "I love crimes" or that these games should be displayed publicly like a badge of honor -- there is no doubt that there should be a base amount of effort at getting to the restricted games to avoid this place falling victim to swathes of genuinely shocked normies -- but no amount of gatekeeping will stop the true believers, who will make it their life's mission to end this site. However much effort the admins think people will go to to get their porn game fix is half that of the people who think the average LC user should be crucified.

I appreciate that the team hasn't yet just capitulated to the anti-LC people and just outright banned all problematic content (though I doubt that is a wholly principled stance, and rather one informed by the fact that that without these games this site is basically Fuck95 with marginally worse UI design and that there's basically no reason to be here if that's the case) but if the lengths are really this drastic it might be worth just banning it to save us degens some heartache.

Doof's suggestion of completely obscuring the content on this site seems worth trying, though the dude could say anything after releasing Burned and I'd take it as gospel. Hopefully whatever solution is reached it isn't this one.
