I'm guessing that the water spell is bugged. The description implies it will remove MP but the only time his MP drains is if you interrupt his big attack with the fire spell. The download has 2 save files and the first is immediately after bringing the herbs to Polka. We'll all just have to use that to skip the fight.

Edit: And the game breaks when accepting quests from the bar in Aphrodite. I don't know if it's bad game design and this broken in the Japanese version or if somebody royally screwed up translating. But it seems this game is effectively unplayable.

anybody know if the English translation is any good? Last time I tried playing this, it was unplayable due to how bad the translation was

It's not just the translation that needs progress, there's a bug in one of the missions further on that you can't get past.

In the fight against catboy I actually used a joiplay cheat.
