3D only if the quality is good. 2D is easier to produce so obviously there is a lot more out there.

A well made 2d game beats a medicore 3d any day. But well made 3d is the shit!!

I like both, although lately in 2D art I've seen that some games are resorting to AI, and I think part of the magic or essence of the game is lost

3D. 2D is okay to just see randomly (Rule 34 stuff), but for a VN, I prefer 3D - well done HS2 or Daz3D. AI has proven a bit creepy in the few VNs I've sampled that use it.

Honestly don't mind either as long as they are well executed.

I believe 3d, if it has good render quality, is more captivating, we all use our eyes as primary source for information and a good render is more attractive (at least to me) than a drawing. 2d is sometimes more flexible because there's less risk of seeing overused models, it's all up to your drawing skills, but it needs to have a very good story and game mechanics.

I lean 2D since I'm an artist myself but 3D can be great as well. It's the artist that make the medium great, not the other way around

I rather have a good 2d game than a bad 3d game.
And good/bad can reflect on the gameplay and the graphics.

I know what you mean, some of my favorites games are behind the dune, summertime saga and taffy tales because the art style is so unique

Depends on the game: I saw great 2D and 3D ones. Well made I like both

3d is my preference, but there are some pretty nice 2d games and pics out there. You're gonna see the same models/environments no matter what eventually.

Most of my favorite games are 2D but I like both. 3D can be great if the art is good enough to push past the uncanny valley territory.
