Yeah, torrents are always a gamble, esp on new or shady sites off the beaten path with 0 trust and little reputation to worry about. And yeah if I'm going to waste electricity mining I'm definitely doing it for myself rather than some power thief. Right now thanks to AI datacenters jacking up prices (a waste to me, mostly for nothing when we can't even publicly use it to make free lewd lolis) BTC would have to hit $120-130k to be worth it to me, Until then you are better of just day trading it unless you have plenty of free electricity like those hackers are trying to get. Prob just put a meter on the PC outlet and if it's drawing more than 100-200W or so while doing supposedly nothing go into task manager and see what app is causing it and then simply delete it if you don't recognize it. At least that'd be the first thing I'd do. If the game itself is downloading it then don't give it a firewall exception (which is a good idea in general for anything pirated).I've had troubles with same peoples torrents having crypto miners installed in the game files & they are sometimes hard to detect.
