(I sometimes don't understand English very well, and although I usually read and write in English without a dictionary, sometimes "something comes over me" and I can't do without a dictionary or translator.)

probably meant that you should remember to scan the files with your antivirus due to the increasing breach of accounts. never had any issues with the files here tho.

After the game turned MC into a pathetic cuckold, there's no fun in playing this game anymore. But it had a good start.
Not your fault you didn't know. LC deleted the original thread that had the explanation, and seems to not have added it when they were able to restore it.

my setup gay-off shota-on and URM installed for quick switch routes in the shota scenes (like last in .11 where boy tells how he loves to suck MC's cock - i select thread from the shota-off route for that frame)

There's not a difference between the gay and shota flags. There is shota content with Kelly and Katie as that's part of the base story. The shota flag just enables content between them and MC.

Another great update Cynist! Glad to see some more development with the other characters. I love Denae's development. I feel like the pacing of this update was strong. Hopefully we'll see more of Bunny in the next one! Keep it up!

Love the game, but it desperately needs a proper persistent gallery independent of the currently-loaded save. Also, sometimes scenes don't unlock, or unexpectedly relock, even when they should be available on the current save.

Agreed. That's one of my complaints right now. I have to load a save to see the gallery, but then some of the scenes from earlier chapters don't re-unlock. In fact, some of the scenes from current chapter don't unlock. It's very inconsistent.

The gallery looks at where the save is to determine what is unlocked in terms of chapters. There are alternate versions of content scenes based on the flags that are set so those players that do not want to see certain content won't come across those different versions. While I did not code the gallery/chapter system myself, I did request for it to be set up like this.

My reasoning was this:

If I made it a persistent gallery, without a check of a common flag set when the gallery is accessed, the player would have to go through those scenes individually to set a specific flag and have them appear in the gallery, causing them to go back during each scene they think might be different due to certain flags (shota, foot fetish, etc.) and replay those scenes, sometimes several times, with different flags set to "catch" all the specific scene flags to have them available on the gallery.

The option to engage or disengage flag variables from the preferences/options screen was added so players could, on the fly, change the variables if they believed something different happened in a scene, or if specific content that wasn't covered with a flag could be temporarily skipped/hidden. This basically allows the player to make a save at any point (or use the gallery) to replay the scene with different flags to see if there is any different content.

My decision in making the gallery work this way was about balancing the enabling and disabling content players may find objectionable or distasteful with allowing content to be replayed after it had been experienced for those that like to have everything unlocked and accessible.

I believe the only content that would be locked after a chapter is completed is if certain flags are not set on the preferences/options screen. It was my intention this should be removed and all content from the chapter should be accessible from the gallery when the chapter is completed. It may be implemented in 0.13 - would have to check - but if it's not, it'll be fixed in the next (0.14) update.
 
I appreciate the detailed response. Assuming I understood it correctly, I didn't realize that the scenes themselves had different content. I assumed if I didn't select a particular preference, then I would just skip the scene where it occurred, not that there was an alternate version of that scene. I thought there was a bunch of scenes that I was just missing because of what I selected. Having the option to toggle preferences on and off before replaying the scene to see the alternate versions is pretty cool. I'll definitely need to play with my preferences and see how things played out.

This also does happen in scenes that don't hold any lewd content. A good example is when Leslie comes to talk to the MC in his office after the incident with her father. If the trans flag is enabled, the dialogue is quite different than if it isn't.

A scene that does have lewd content that is different is between Katie and Kelly in 0.12.
Just before seeing Denae at MC's computer, the very brief animation of Katie and Kelly together is different depending on if you have both the shota and anal flags set as true or not. I won't ruin it with too much of a spoiler, but due to how some people feel about certain activities (not to mention setting up a future scene with the MC and Kelly), alternatives have to be created.

That particular spot of the story doesn't appear in the gallery because it is very short, being only about six to seven lines of dialogue.
Putting a tooltip or indicator for when something is different because of a flag would, IMHO, break whatever immersion there is. It happens quite a bit at this point of the story. Right now, there are twenty-three active flag designations that change content throughout the story, and there will likely be more. A couple have been set but not used yet. Having them appear each time something happens differently would not be great.

However, that doesn't mean the story is vastly different when certain flags are activated or not. Content is really just for the lewd stuff on a preference basis for the player. The majority of the story is kinetic.

It isn't my intention to make players go through the story multiple times to see every bit of content. This is the biggest reason why the options to activate and deactivate flags are in the preferences/options screen. Players can go back through gallery scenes or save positions and find out what might be different instead of replaying the entire thing again.

It's added on at the beginning, and a couple lines of dialogue are added later, but it doesn't alter the "main" part of the scene. The consensus from supporters on Discord is basically, "the true way to play is to enable everything," and I can't disagree. The story ultimately comes from my fucked-up brain, and alternatives are only added when possible objectionable content is happening. I'll have to check on the code when I can, but the idea of the gallery was to allow people to see everything, even what they might have missed, upon the completion of that chapter.

However, even when replaying a gallery scene, the code will check for the flags you have set to determine what happens.
