Can we clear some things up?

Will the old ranks actually do anything going forward? The old ranks were tied to permissions on the site, level 1, 2, 3, +, etc etc all were tied to an area on the forum. Will those ranks still continue to have a use in the future?

yes they will still function to unlock those sections well the section is now just 1 called the gray zone but yes it unlocks the section.

Will the "new" coins lead to "new" ranks and permissions on the forums? Other areas gated behind essentially paying for coins?

possibly but i am unsure atm as gray zone unlocks basically everything gated and i wouldnt even know what to gate.

Will the "New" rank areas and the "old" rank areas be separate? Or if you have the rank in the old coin will that let you into the new area?

if i were to make a new section for the new ranks old ranks will not be able to see it.

If they are to remain separate and you need "new" coin to access, will any compensation be given at all for people who have been here grinding for literal years? Frankly don't have the time or energy to do that all over again. And honestly is kind of a dick move to just invalidate all the subs and members who have been here for years.

no but i am not likely to add any section for the new ranks as it will just unlock the gray zone the only exception to this is a donator zone for actual donators.

What I really wanted on the old forum was a way to hide some ranks from lower levels, especially the public. I settled for using inventory to activate some ranks only while actually using them.

Are the old ranks gone? Is anything like the old ranks going to be restored to Inventory? Will I have to choose between abandoning my old ranks or having them always on display?

Wouldn't it be more important to work on getting the forum working properly?? like getting the games+ forum to start showing what's newly updated/uploaded over showing where 2 people are having a long discussion in a forum under a long dead game, Lost life and Such a sharp pain is still almost every day showing up on the front page, despite both games from the developer themselves have been abandoned a long time ago

If you have ideas, post them. This is the time to bring them up.

1. Automatically hide signatures and/or customization in announcement threads. This thread is fine, so far, but I've had some trouble figuring out what was signature and what was a post in some other announcement threads. I feel the clutter is something that needs to be managed. (I do not believe it would be necessary to implement elsewhere)

2. Exclusion tags for advanced search. Someone else brought this up, but I wanted to mention it anyway. Exceptionally useful tool.

3. A collection of help pages for information related to forum functions, and one of which being a staff list. Having the information in threads is nice, but a clean and easy to read dedicated page can save a lot of trouble, and provide users (like myself) a method by which to quickly provide assistance to others using unified documentation that everyone can access. (as opposed to trudging through the entire forum searching for some specific help information related to ranks, coins, etc) If something like this exists, please provide a link because I wasn't able to find such during my foray into the site's layout.

4. The ability to hide this toolbar:

Ultimately, I do believe that having a fully working forum is more important than making improvements or changes, but you know the admin side better than we do, so act on your own discretion. I have shared my thoughts, and will now slink back to the development basement with the rest of my fellow Java cronies.

You actually can disable user Signatures from being displayed, it's under your Profile - settings - preference

@Jack Of Blades As for old coins, i believe i had around 230k stored in Bank. But just to be clear, new ranks funktion just like the legacy (old) ranks but only look different ?

What with Discord constantly threatening to add age verification, it might be better to look for a different platform. Unfortunately I don't know of any that are similar without that risk. Mattermost is kind of similar but it doesn't have the voice channel functions Discord does I don't think.

I read that as being a Discord server, if it's something else then great.

Thanks for the information. I knew of this, but my comment was strictly about announcement/PSA/official threads that were important enough to declutter. Kind of annoying to change the setting every time I want to view an announcement thread, you know? Even so, thanks for the info.

I know i had ~3500 in total before the restart.


But i know higher ranks allowed more customization so idk what is already possible.

But, i think it would be cool to be able to be able to use a picture for thread background maybe it slides up and down when you scroll? But I'm not sure how that would work or take up to much recorces or whatever.

The other thing i wanted to do was to add music to the my thread. Similar to how you can add music to your profile (idk how to do that so im assuming thats a higher rank to unlock that.)

I mean im mainly on mobile and luckily it seems signatures are only gone when not on desktop/desktop mode. Can't wait for signature pictures to work again

Are we getting the old coins back? Don't recall how many I had but it was definitely more then 0.

I had round about 45k in the bank, they are all gone, too.

I had a decent amount in the bank that was lost. I don't remember exactly how much, but I can say for sure that it was over 200K. Is it even worth requesting them back, though? I guess it would be nice to have them, but I'm not going to make a big deal about it. And I know that there isn't going to be an exchange to convert all these old coins into new ones, but I wonder if you would consider allowing a token amount to be exchanged, just to throw a bone to the long established users? Just a thought.

It would be nice to be able to filters by multiple engines like "I Want to see Unity or RPGM or RPGWolf games but I don't want Ren'py or HTML" and be able to search by more genres like "I want a game where there's Fighting and/or Female protag but I don't want this or that" and have a more custom filter, I don't know if I'm just not finding this function or maybe there isn't a whole lot of games to warrant that but I think it would be a good addition for the the games section.

I had over 2 million coins and I'm pretty sure I wasn't even in the top 10% Compounding interest is the most powerful force in the universe. I've already bought everything from that shop I wanted though so I don't care much about getting them back.
