For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

Right....
Yeah half a day is complete bs but really it does only take a few days, especially when high tier members with unlocked likes are on. They're typically quite generous with comment reactions.

It's not like it takes a long time to get that many half a day or less just make posts worthy of likes and give likes to posts you like
Spent a day at it...
Next day. Server change. UI change.Economy change.

Pretty sure the economy change has been planned for quite a while now, and they were going through the changes/iterations of it. I'm not saying it isn't disruptive to the sites internal ecosystem, but we can't really say that it's a surprise or unexpected. The admins are typically pretty upfront about most of this stuff.

Out of curiosity, why was it needed to change completely? It's kinda hard to find info on here lol.

The starting point is with the new activity coins
Ya... No shit. Fuck I hope the tards mother who came up with this shit gets cervical cancer.

I can only comment on what I saw and am probably misremembering. There were members with millions upon millions of coins with nothing to do with them that they got from sources that have since been adjusted/removed/changed to not multiply coins so heavily. Newer users don't have the same avenues to accrue so many coins. The coin disparity made it difficult to introduce site features that would both be purchasable at a reasonable amount for new users, but also interest and give older users a reason to pursue them. Basically, either make it impossible to buy or worthless to buy. So a reset with a new, unified income system will allow for a better shop ecosystem going forward, assuming coin income doesn't bloat like it did in the past.

Fair enough, I've only very recently started obviously so it's not a huge deal to me. Seems like a fun system.
