Starting blind can be kind of an uphill battle, but things flows much more smoothly when you have friends to clown around during the grind, or if you're into RP and can get into the character you've made. Ambience plays a huge role too, good music and immersive scenario really helps. Though that's my take as someone who started with Ragnarok online, they really didn't cheap out on the starter maps, was really fun to go around blind through the map exploring the world, but once you get the minmaxxer mindset these kinds of things become less and less enjoyable as you try to take the most out of your time and build. Shame what happened to the IP and gameI've never really got into the MMORPGs. I tried some of them (the only one I remember is TERA), but...didn't understand the appeal of them, I guess?
