Was a lurker for years. Still feels unreal that it's going away. All good things must come to an end I guess. I'll miss it. Looking toward new horizons!

Same thing here, was lurking for 2 years, and when i finally start to actually interact and have a feeling of belonging, the site is going down. Feels heartwrenching ngl.

As one of the mods there for the game dev and game mod section, it does bring sadness to my heart to see the community having to spread out its' wings.
Perhaps it's better this way. But I can say that there's talk among the moderators for a potential solution. Nothing concrete yet.

I'm doing what I can to help and facilitate the content creators from the sections I moderate to help them settle into other communities as best I can.
Right now, I'm just trying to get to that elusive member+ access so that I can actually report what it all looks like and how it all works for those that need some kind of confirmation.

Looks like they are in turmoil over there. Someone with elevated permissions has made a mess of their security and user data may be leaked. It isn’t the worse case scenario, but it’s close. I have a lot of respect for the Admin and mod’s here. It’s a thankless job and in these times & an endangered species in this topic. I’m working pretty much every day now trying to put out a game and it looks like this forum is the last bastion for it’s release. I really wish I could contribute more, but the threat of being doxxed is just too high IMO. Even if LC is 100% safe. You just can’t discount hackers, man-in-the-middle threats, credit card companies, government interference, or a compromised moderator.

Just a warning to everyone. Please keep your personal life off of the internet, regardless of the website. The one lesson I tried to get in peoples’ heads is, “Always assume there’s someone looking over your shoulder when you’re on the internet.” Because, it’s almost always the case. Stay safe.

Remember boys and girls, anything and everything stays on the internet forever. nothing on it is temporary.

I think there are a lot of us out there searching a new home,
best we can do is hope this one will last a while

it should. so far our only drama is mostly a site redesign every few months that breaks shit, which we argue with the staff about said shit being broken.

though this recent one seems to have been going more smoothly than the others.

It is a shame it happened, i started using the site to find RP groups and also found some good games and mods, i'm worried about how much is going to become lost media or unreachable, ATF was already kinda messy having two different places for people to post games and mods so the migration is probably going to make things even worse. As for the grey zone stuff, the few times i read posts there i saw some disturbing things, for antis it's all the same but even still people should be wary of the lines between fiction and reality they blur, if it is too realistics and you start to feel like you want more, or if you're actually fantasizing about people you see on the streets then maybe you should tone it down or get some help before you cross the line. As for the reason the site is closing down, i have yet to understand what kind of pleasure people take from high moderation, it's extra work with little recognition with only some digital powertripping.

ATF was going to shut down eventually. That community is a detriment to lolicon anyway. They harbored, protected and embraced ped0s. That shitty community reflected badly on lolicon, made things worse and added fuel to the flames.
For those of you ATF members getting mad and seething over what I've said, and trying to censor me, you are part of the problem. Lolicon has a bigger target over it's head no thanks to ATF.

We are not the monsters the media portrait us as being. We have the same ability of self control every one else has. You do not rape any pretty woman you see, right? Neither do we rape any child. We love children, why would we hurt them?
In fact, about 80% of child sexual abuse cases are done by non-****philes.
Maybe you should take the opportunity to learn what we are actually like.

By the way, why are you calling it a "lifestyle"? I live my life just as any other lolicon would. I absolutely refuse to touch any CSAM, and actually touching a real child in any sexual way is absolutely abhorrent to me since I know the damage this can cause. My ****philia lives inside my head, and there it stays.

You are right, I'm glad about any place where I can be more or less open about who I am. But I'll always try to educate people who know about ****philes only from main stream media about the truth of the matter.

Terrible in which way? There are some pro-contact ****s over there, but those still obey the laws. (Anyone indicating that they don't and actually abuse a child were reported to authorities.) It would be better if they came to see that if they had their way they would do grave damage. And those threads provide a place to pitch anti-contact arguments against them. In a few cases we were successful in doing that, convincing them of the error of their thinking. It's hard, but without the grey zone none of these successes would have happened. If the topics disgust you, well, no one forces you to go there. But they actually do serve a good purpose.

Sad when things like this happen. Sometimes it can be people you trusted for years that just snap. Also do remember that Safe and Safety is really just a myth to help you sleep at night. If someone wants to hack you, good luck it is not preventable. Nation state hackers are often using undetectable, fileless and persistent methods now a days. No longer formatting a hard drive ensures you removed the infection. (Thanks UEFI and NVRAM) Let alone manufacturers built in backdoors that are in a lot of SoC intentionally.

Sure don't share password across sites. Since its not really you, you have to worry about but rather the security of said sites. Biggest thing is to try and not make yourself a target.
