Looks like they are in turmoil over there. Someone with elevated permissions has made a mess of their security and user data may be leaked. It isn’t the worse case scenario, but it’s close. I have a lot of respect for the Admin and mod’s here. It’s a thankless job and in these times & an endangered species in this topic. I’m working pretty much every day now trying to put out a game and it looks like this forum is the last bastion for it’s release. I really wish I could contribute more, but the threat of being doxxed is just too high IMO. Even if LC is 100% safe. You just can’t discount hackers, man-in-the-middle threats, credit card companies, government interference, or a compromised moderator.

Just a warning to everyone. Please keep your personal life off of the internet, regardless of the website. The one lesson I tried to get in peoples’ heads is, “Always assume there’s someone looking over your shoulder when you’re on the internet.” Because, it’s almost always the case. Stay safe.

Given the current trends, it's not the fact that the site has ceased to exist that is surprising, but the fact that it has only just happened. It was clear a year and a half ago that this resource was doomed. As for the lack of any privacy on the Internet, we are all adults, not children, does anyone still believe in some kind of privacy?

Why should we be surprised? When I first went there four years ago, my first thought was that the guys were walking on very, very thin ice. It's amazing that they lasted so long.

I hope their modding section will transfer here, because it will surely be missed otherwise, there are simply no substitute for it.

Getting updates on Onirism and Hummingbird was THE reason I was on ATF. I hope they transfer here or Roriwalrus.

ATF was going to shut down eventually. That community is a detriment to lolicon anyway. They harbored, protected and embraced ped0s. That shitty community reflected badly on lolicon, made things worse and added fuel to the flames.
For those of you ATF members getting mad and seething over what I've said, and trying to censor me, you are part of the problem. Lolicon has a bigger target over it's head no thanks to ATF.

ESL warning (I'm French)

It could be just in my family. As an old 60+ year old geezer, I noticed my cousin's grand-kids (in their early 20s btw) were using bio-metric data (fingerprints, etc...) to unlock their computer. I voiced my concern that, if the database is hacked, something you can't change (biometrics) would be all over the internet, permanently. I don't even do cloud backups or programs that "remember your password for ease." Fingerprints are in the "OH FUCK NO" category.

They smiled, then said (paraphrased) "Aw. It's cute that you don't think you and everyone else's birthdate, social insurance number, and other stuff isn't in the hands of the top tier hackers or feds of every country. If I'm going to be robbed no matter what, until then, I'm gonna do what's CONVENIENT!"

I really... REALLY... hope that attitude is contained only to my extended family's kids. Otherwise, I guess we're doomed. To boost my spirits, I told them:
"There's always pen and paper. You can't hack paper."

Then the little shit (that I DO love, but they're still a little shit) said "YET..."

So, no, I don't think the current generation has any sense of privacy. Whether they're happy or resigned about it, varies per individual...

I was speaking more about direct information on social media, your job and finances. Just one zero-day Trojan from one of the games (which are VERY hard to detect), could capture everything you do on your computer and send it to hackers. Or use your GPU to mine. Or direct traffic through your computer to do shady crap. Or just just watch you for days, weeks or months. Sandbox all your games!

Yeah, it's scary. Just about every poll says people under 20yo are very trusting of corporations' software and AI. They are literally getting in line to fork over their personal data. Don't use biometrics. Use an authenticator that isn't attached to the device's you use to access personal data. Change your passwords often. Sandbox all games. Don't stay logged into your password managers (sign in then sign right out after). And trust no one on the internet. No one.

afaik there are some solutions in the works.
the booru is getting transferred to a catbox server, and there are rumours of the whole site being ported there under a new name too.

A lesson about the rabbit hole, from Lewis Carroll of all people.

You're free to assume that simply offering a supportive space for people with an unfortunate attraction (people who were actually acting upon the attraction were reported to law enforcement) reflects badly on lolisho enjoyers, but I personally don't see normies accepting lolicons if only they're sufficiently mean to ****philes.

If you watch videos of dudes sucking each other off, people are going to assume you're at least somewhat gay. Similarly, it's always going to be a tall order to convince people you're just a regular dude if you goon to 1000 year old dragons that just happen to look like children, even now ATF will stop existing.

Yes try telling someone with a shirt talking about "executing your local p*dos" that loli and **** are different and see how that goes for you.

I didn't expect this site to last longer than ATF to be perfectly honest
