discussion Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot

[wiredntired]

I also remember seeing an article/headline somewhere saying the same thing about Nvidia. Sucks a lot. I'm going to just have to keep riding out on my current build, though it's not that old and handles most things alright. Heavy duty VR stuff would be all that I'd pick up that might tax the system more, but that depends entirely on the new steam hardware and however that ends up.

Better that than the LC Sisyphus.
'Sides, atleast here you can't get real drunk and try to gamble your car or pants

Just you wait..,

Hey @MattaMus11, how you been lately?

Fuck that's shit, I've had a lenovo legion for like a year now and one of the fans is gone in it and it was overheating before that already, still need to get it replaced. Would recommend staying away from lenovo right now because of that.

Was looking at a 5090 2 weeks ago and a 5090 today, they've gone up in price by like 300 in that 2 week span alone. Closed the site the moment I saw those new prices and I'm giving up on getting this generation of GPU's

Yeah, slots are eating at the moment, lost like 500k today

If you do eventually win slots a crisp 100 would help very much with the blackjack fund...

Is purchasing a gaming laptop a wise decision in the current market? Or have their prices risen exponentially as well?

Testpost from mobile.
The layout could be better. At least the clutter can be reduced with uBlock Origin.

Also don't molest @ylntla81! too much, that's my job.

Oh no, he found a solution and he's already back.......
You know, as the saying goes, sharing is caring.
I can sacrifice some time to distract her while you're gone with all that moving. It will be time consuming but I'm trying my best here and I am willing to help in any situations.
@ylntla81! is in good hands (or fingers?), I'll be there for her and treat her well, don't you worry about it

morning everyone! i realize now that it shows the fact i have viewed your profile to you, do not feel alarmed if i have viewed your profile, i am not stalking you...... exclusively. i am stalking everyone here equally

all of your profiles have enlightened me as to how barren mine is. i will have to give myself a "glow up" as i believe it is called, some time.

Good morning and happy Fuck-it Friday.

laptops seem to be some what behind on the RAMpocalypse prices but they are most certainly increasing similarly to all other computer hardware. it may indeed keep increasing or it might just crash........ at some point. it is hard to say but my two cents: i think it will be getting a lot worse before it gets better. many in this thread have mentioned NVIDIA are scaling back on graphic cards production like the 50 series and i believe i saw someone at microsoft or some such company mentioning how they would love to pivot to all of our computers being on the cloud. this may be bad news for us...... or for the computers, which may simply choose to die itself at the sight of the sheer amount of degenerate pornography we store on it.

many corporations i am thinking will have a similar sentiment to the microsoft employee i quote. it is more money for them in every way and complete reliance on their systems. a subscription service for a computer maybe! it has always been the case that data centers got all the good tech first, but now it seems they are starting to get it exclusively.

we will have to wait and see, pray for the home computing market and all the women on your hard drive that would suddenly be without a home, or worse, a home on someone elses much bigger computer!

Here is the thing it is unlikely to get better either way so you would be waiting for a long time if you do not buy.
Overall, if you really need to update and your current one is dying or have problems you will just have to eat the cost.
Best cast scenario is you wait for a sale of some sort of event and find the one you want with the specs and reliability.
Buy one that will last as least 3-5 years so mid to high range, than a low end one.
It all ends in the question of do I really need it now and is my current one still good to last me a few years and hopefully prices get back to reasonable levels.

Mods, is it okay if I share member+ game names and the names of loli hentai I enjoy in my profile posts or general threads, as long as I don’t link them?

Prices are only going to keep going up for at least the next 2 years is my guess, so unless your need can wait that long, now would be the best time to buy. That's the attitude I am taking as I need a new graphics card but it will be a few months before I can pull the trigger, there might not even be stock available then

Okay, so let me name a few:
- Splits
- Family time
- Dog's girl's best friend

Are you implying that you're a GIRL? Guy In Real Life?
Who doesn't even watch porn at least once?

I whoreheartedly agree with you there.

But the question is... Is it better than a Steam Deck?

Years? Did you mean decades?

Umm... Sky... Net?
No, wait. They aren't called that... Yet.

It's absolutely better than a Steamdeck. It has better/faster hardware, a larger screen, a full Windows OS (can play any game, not just steam games), and the sides detach like joy-cons... but wait there's more! The "joy-cons" have a toggle switch that lets them be used as an optical mouse so you can do actual keyboard+mouse FPS gaming on any surface. Oh, and better battery life.

I'm super happy with the device. I have a steamdeck and don't use it at all anymore.

There's no skill involved in slots. It's pure luck. One reason I wouldn't try - I always had terrible luck. So much so when I was a kid I sang that fa-la-la Xmas song as "fu-uh-uh-uh-uh-uck luck."

Man waaaay back in the day I managed my Dad's books for a year. He was addicted to gambling but only played slots. There was a huge amount of money in and out of that account and casinos but when all was said and done he consistently came out ahead. I don't know if he just has uncanny luck or if there is a method to the madness.

No, they're like the evil version of Vulcans.

One of my daughters has a 300-level university class where their assignments are to watch old Star Trek episodes.

Kids these days...

Star Trek TOS movies (by number) were always even = good, odd = shit. The opposite of Windows versions.
