Downloaded and installed RTP 2000, actually did every single RTP version available, used locale emulator, game still wouldn't launch. Any ideas?

i saw this and wondered if i could get it to run, it just errors out if you run the exe but mtool downloaded player_translate_easyrpg.exe which ran the game without any issues
might also fix your problem!

So what do I need to download to try?

download the one for your system and extract the player into the games main folder /// where it's .exe is then run player.exe and hope it works : )
