LewdCorner Reset: Stability First (Step-by-Step Fix Plan)

Thread owner
How about interest, but with inflation? To equalize it implement a stockmarket, which will occasionally crash and leave the majority with less than before.
there are only so much i can do with just the settings alone, apollo will need to add in a sort of cap to it before i enable it again.

I don't know if this is a user-selectable feature in the software or not, but if so, may we have the option to not automatically embed the full post when we paste a link in a new post, referring to an older one?

The WT mod I just updated is a fairly long post, with other links, originally from some time back, and I reply to the game thread saying, basically, "WT updated, grab it here" and include the link-back to the original.

But it's embedding the full content of the original post with no option (that I can see) to shut that off. It takes a lot of unnecessary space, at the very least.

I worked around that by using a spoiler with the link, but the option to just show the link normally, without embedding the full original post, would be preferable (at least to me).

TIA.

You mean like this? A small preview image would be nice.

Edit:
Somehow it made this time a smaller preview image than for the other thread. Strange.

Yeah, that's what I mean. With a very small original post it isn't a big deal, but with a long and complex post, it's repeating all of it in the embed. Even though smaller in visual size, it's still an unnecessary use of space, imho.

Wouldn't inflation make it impossible for late joiners to earn any meaningful coins? Imo it would be better to put a cap on amount you can put in bank and amount of coins you can get from it

First of all I want to say that it does feel like the site is faster, the other thing in my mind, a question more than asking for something, I want to know if at some point we'll be able to have a preview of the games on those parts of the site.
It's not necessary but it did help when choosing if a game was worth looking into, whether the answer is positive or negative I just want to say that I wouldn't expect it to be a priority, I just want to know if at some point in the future we'll have that again or not, leaving that aside I'm happy to see you're focusing more on having the site running stable

That's indeed a higly complicated problem long term. As long as giving likes and reactions don't cost and create value (activity points) it will it create inflation. There must be a way to minimize or even reverse this inflation. Alternatively a constant price adjustment. That's something no one will do.

Capping the amount in the bank wouldn't solve it, but slowing down. Probably even enough. Combining it with the amount how much AC a single account can hold, could also be a possibility. What I learned was, that monetary value (activity points in this example) needs to vanish without compensation.
-> casino
-> stock Market
-> capping the amount an account can hold. Everything over 1 Million AC gets deleted and for every million AC a dog park will be named after you
-> tax department

But oh boy can this be a pain in the ass. I heard, that there are even people who work their whole life to find a fair way to balance it ;)

Wouldn't inflation make it impossible for late joiners to earn any meaningful coins?
Yes it would. Like in real life. Being "poor" is quite expensive if noone is there to help.

I'm really glad I don't have to manage a forum. My condolenes for the admin, the mods and the staff ;P

Regarding the bank, I think it's important that there's a certain win-condition.
For instance, that the combined interest of a month could pay for all monthly packages and perks.

Having other uses to spend the coins on would be welcome as well. For instance, what if the front page had 3 slots to highlight games? These slots would be auctioned weekly, and users could invest their points on a game's thread to win a spot. Only the coins on winning threads would be consumed, and any winners would be barred from participating for a month. It's a fairly complex system to create, but would allow users to spend their coins in positive ways to promote content they enjoyed.

I haven't been here long, but it's good to know that things are being worked on and responded to. Always a positive to hear.

unsure yet, but daily cap will make it so you can only obtain x amount per day (maybe withdraw cap to x amount so u can just have a lot in the bank that u cant withdraw)
Haven't spent a crazy amount of time on yet, but noticed no lag today, so something is working. I really like the idea of non-zero income with a daily cap, even a cap like a max of 10-50 or so coins a day would be a substantial help to getting anywhere without having to consciously find a bunch of different threads or conversations to enter every day

Like I said before I wish you luck as no matter what you change it'll always piss of someone. 🤷‍♂️

If we're going green field on economy ideas since it seems someone's messing with the bank code, I'd like to re-state what I said (on discord maybe?) a few months ago when we had one of the first economy shakeups:

Tiered Interest. The more you have in the bank the less interest you get. Choose each tier's interest rate by setting a reasonable time to progress through different tiers (say a month each) assuming an initial investment of some number of coins (100 for M+, the price of M+ for P1, etc.), set the interest rates such that you achieve each milestone in that time... Thus if your balance is < the price of M+, you get X% so that you would earn enough to pay for M+ in one month (assuming you visit daily). Once your balance goes over the price of M+ you would earn Y% where that makes sense to achieve the difference between M+ and P1 in a month, etc. etc. for however many tiers there are. Once you have enough in the bank to buy everything your interest rate drops to next to nothing, maybe even dropping to actual zero at some point.

I understand this is a complex thing, would take time and buy in, etc... just wanted to mention it again.

edit: Also, would it be possible to get thread update dates in thread titles, at least until we have a latest update page again? So we can more easily tell what threads have been updated vs commented on when looking at the normal forum view.

A thought about coins and casinos.
How about capping how much could be won and how much could be lost in a day and have an exchange system for casinos.

Example:
Activity Coins (AC)
Casino Coins (CC)

Max daily win: 500 CC (except for jackpots and lotteries)
Max daily loss: 500 AC
Ratio (Payout): 500 CC = 100AC
So people can gamble away their hard earned AC , have fun playing for some possible gains, but wouldn't crash AC with too much luck.

And probably a 5 min cooldown for new posts if a new user
is:
less than a week / month old
or:
has less than 10 messages / 10 likes

That doesn't sound too bad.
Expiring ranks if they were bought with AC.

Reinicio de LewdCorner: Estabilidad Primero (Plan de Arreglos Paso a Paso)

Bien.

  • Tu navegador (Chrome/Firefox/etc)

Si has estado frustrado, lo entiendo. Lo voy a arreglar.
LewdCorner Reset: Stabilität zuerst (Schritt-für-Schritt Fix-Plan)

Okay.

  • Performance-Fixes
  • Bugfixes
  • Kompatibilitäts-Fixes
  • Wiederherstellung der grundlegenden Nutzbarkeit

Top-Prioritäten (in Reihenfolge)

1) Performance / Browser-Freezes

2) Add-on Cleanup / Kompatibilitäts-Audit

  • Euren Browser (Chrome/Firefox/etc.)

  • Updates kommen zuerst ins Forum.

Alright. I’m addressing this head-on.

1) PM/DM monitoring software removed
I removed the PM/DM monitoring software from LewdCorner.
There will be no DM monitoring add-ons running on LC.

2) Reality check
I’ve read the feedback and I agree with the core issue: LC has felt unstable, messy, and hard to trust lately.
I’m not going to pretend everything is fine. If you’re having issues, I believe you.

3) Coin / economy update (important)
I’m reverting my idea to introduce a new coin.
Instead, I’m going to stabilize Activity Coins and focus on making the current systems work properly before changing anything.
No economy overhaul while the foundation is shaky.

30-Day Stability Reset
For the next 30 days, LC is in stability-first mode.

That means:
  • No big feature experiments
  • No paywall/subscription surprise changes
  • No sudden system overhauls
  • No “ship it and pray” updates

Only:
  • Performance fixes
  • Bug fixes
  • Compatibility fixes
  • Restoring basic usability

Top priorities (in order)

1) Performance / browser freezes

If leaving LC open eats resources or freezes your browser, that’s priority #1.
I’m going to track this down (likely add-on / JS / Latest Updates related) and fix it.

2) Add-on cleanup / compatibility audit
I’m making an exact list of what’s installed, what’s outdated, and what’s breaking things.
Anything abandoned or incompatible that harms stability gets removed or replaced.

3) Latest Updates reliability
Latest Updates needs to work cleanly without weird dependencies and without breaking sorting/filtering.
If the “fancy” version can’t be stable, it’s getting simplified until it is.

Communication changes
Updates will be posted on-site first.
Discord can mirror it, but LC won’t be “Discord-required” to understand what’s going on.

What I need from you (if you want to help)
If you’re having issues, please reply with:
  • Your browser (Chrome/Firefox/etc)
  • How long the tab is open before it slows down
  • What page you’re usually on (Latest Updates / thread list / etc)
  • Any extensions you think might matter (adblock etc)

Coins / ranks / 2026 changes
Anything “big” is paused until stability is restored.
When we revisit changes, it will be explained in advance, with a clear breakdown, and with a poll that actually matters.

Rules / criticism
Criticism is allowed. I’d rather hear it and fix things than pretend it doesn’t exist.
Just keep it constructive and not personal.

TL;DR:
  • DM monitoring software is removed.
  • New coin idea is scrapped for now.
  • We’re stabilizing Activity Coins and the site itself first.
  • Priority order: Performance → Add-ons → Latest Updates.
  • Updates will be posted on-site.
  • Big overhauls are paused until the site is stable again.

If you’ve been frustrated, I get it. I’m fixing it.

edit: site speed was increased, many unused addons and addons that did nothing uninstalled and deleted, L/U is next.

How is it possible that someone is banned for mentioning a page in a DM that they shouldn't have mentioned, even though it was said that the spy/surveillance add-on had been deactivated or even deleted?

Probably not the best place to write this but I did a search for "can't review games" and got the expected results for such generic words.

So, I'm trying to review "Her Desire". When I click on the stars, it just lets me rate the thread, not make a review. (clicking on a star started the process in the old system).
When I click on "Post thread", well, the tons of never seen before options made my old autistic French brain almost leak out of my head.

So, what am I doing wrong? And, if it's one of the features that's not back and I missed the posts that say so, apologies for bringing it up.

Thanks to anyone that can clarify my mistake. I posted here in case this was all about website stability and the new programs.
Obviously, none of what I'm asking is a priority over what you're all doing right now. Thanks again for all your hard work.

To make sure I understand, will the Activity Coins still reset at the end of the year? or is that part on hold too. It sounds like it is, but wanted to be sure.
Thanks!
