Keep it as it is now, I like it that way.

Overall I'd say the theme is fine as it is.

The contrast between the different parts is good enough to distinguish them visually from each other. You know exactly when a post ends, where the postbit begins and all the buttons are easy to find. Links have a different color, which is a huge improvement from the previous theme. Quotes are easy to spot, I wouldn't mind them being a tit bit darker tho, but that's a very minor thing.

The only thing that would be better in terms of contrast and distinguishability would be if the post and signature had a clearer border or if the signature had a slightly different shade.


But what I miss is a different colored background in the forumstats and latest replies on the front page. Currently unread posts are in bold and read are normal, but the difference is not big enough. If read posts get a darker background, like it was in the old theme, it would be way easier to see at first glance.

The only other thing, which has not much to do with the theme itself, is that the postbit is quite large thanks to the hight of all the badges/banners and all the extra informations there. I know you announced a while back that you want to change them, but if you want to keep the banners at this size, reducing the spacing between may help at least a bit with all the scrolling. And if it's possible hide stats in the postbit that have 0 value?

You guys plan on fixing the hover over preview? It cycles the preview images but is mostly covered up by the tag list which makes it kind of pointless lol. Tag list should pop out and appear below the card on hover.
It's nice though that the major issues have gotten fixed already, like the latest updates literally just not loading at all lol.

Unrelated to this thread, but can we please go back to the way the site looked before the update? The latest updates page is so much harder to look at/browse through now because you can't see all of the tags on a game without opening it fully, it looks completely out of place compared to the rest of the site, plus it seems to only work like half of the time

yeah that whole thing is a bit weird.
Imo the image preview part should have an on the side of the image to go through them and the tags should appear when you hover over the panel
- Along with the date at the bottom right being the latest update date (along with a tool-tip when you hover over the date to see the full timestamp)

Not specific to colors... But I would love it if the forum didn't take up the entire width of the screen. I think there's merit to posts (the content part of them) be as wide as an A4 piece of paper.

You'll see people write extremely long sentences without punctuation that just keep going on and on and on there's just no stopping them. These sentences take up the entire width of the screen which makes them really i mean really uncomfortable to read. I'm sure you see what I mean if you try to parse this line and have your browser window maximized on a large-ish monitor.

Personally, I am quite satisfied with the full-screen mode. It is convenient to read, adjusting the font size to suit yourself, it is convenient to write comments. This is what your post looks like on my UHD monitor:

It will be reworked, you will be able to see both screenshots and tags without having to switch mode.

That said, I do recall the previous system (or at least one of them) had a toggle that went between wider and "thinner" footprint. Not sure how that was implemented or if it's in the cards for this system, but I guess if others were looking for the thinner layout, I would at least prefer it to be done that way over getting rid of the fullscreen that we have, if possible.

Yeah, I'll always be in favor of choice rather than replacement.

Hahaha yeah absolutely this will happen. I don't blame them, I don't read all of them either but in this case it was warranted. Great news.

As for colour scheme, as dark as possible but I actually liked the idea of purple (but a darker shade) that we had for a day or two lately. That or maroon.

Hmm regarding theme color im simple i like Black/Red (Red only for accents/details and stuff)
Also i don't know how easy it would be to make some major theme colors adjustable in the user settings.

But in the end im happy with almost anything as long as its a dark theme or a dark option.

For backgrounds/text there should be enough contrast they are easy to read. TBH that should be a rule for custom ones, too.
