Pretty long game (although it depends on how you play it. I'm finding it long), but it's much better than its predecessor in many ways, and the protagonist is more charismatic and has more personality. It might seem like the same game, but it's not; this one has improved in many aspects. And I thought it was strange that it weighed 10 times more than the previous one, and it's justified.

I kinda sped my way to infection level 1 it seems and now I'm not sure exactly how much more there is to do. Still working on the achievements. I'm maybe 6/10 with those so there's content to still work towards.
Having skipped the first game, think it's worth playing through that one? Or is it too close to "same, but less"?

Exactly, same but less. I would have recommended playing the first one first to appreciate the improvements in this one.
I take my time exploring all the content the game has to offer, from the dialogues to the small details, the sex scenes that have multiple different interactions even though they don't have many animations, and the protagonist's personality, whose best version, in my opinion, is in stage 2, which is where I spent my time before advancing to stage 1. Now I plan to return her to stage 2 when she has better stats and stage 1 has nothing more to offer.
I think her stage 2 with high levels of affection and lewdness can be very interesting and probably my favorite version.

Oh yeah, I also downloaded it when it was mentioned here! I've liked it up till now, though I will admit that I used cheat engine to give myself some SP to avoid the grind.
I also got spooked because the version I downloaded opens up a CMD screen for a split second before starting the game. I chased it and it turns out it was only a launcher bat, lol
Regardless, can't wait to play more. I do feel like it's quite nice in general, now I wanna see what other personalities she ends up having. I'm in stage... 2? I think? When she becomes a mesugaki.

finding the right download link that doesnt result in a dead end is way harder than it needs to be. God forbid the download is also larger than the filesize stated on ryuugames too, i never fuck with those.

It's not even the ads that's the issue from ryuu, but the constant redirecting going literally everywhere, I lost my patience when they give me an ouo link after another ouo link, it feels like going nowhere.
Not to mention most of their content scrapes from F95 users and other forum websites so it's almost redundant, and they attempt to provide some kind of premium subscription service for more pirated games, while it's far cheaper to just buy the fucking games anyway (or even funnier, get them from this website cos the premium subs content are basically what Games+ has to offer).
If anything, if I want any of those games they share, I always request of cutting the middleman and just give the end mega/pixeldrain link that has the RY-RJxxxxxxx file already. I feel like it's obviously the best solution to share stuff from ryuu from whoever can have the patience to access anything from that site.

Ironic, I originally got MyMaid from them and then they reuploaded it with my translation and uncensor.
And yes, a friend of mine sent me the MrBeast 4koma on Discord this morning precisely because of trying to download a game from one of those filehosts and getting sent to a random redirect with the Renpy virus, which he didn't recognise.
I really like Ryuu and Kimochi, they're the two sites that I feel are the most reliable (apart from forums like LC and F95), but you're right about the premium part, it becomes plain unnecessary at some point.

I haven't seen any of them that are built native for Android, but Joiplay can run Happy Neet just fine... as far as I remember? @winceptor and @kusahai09 would know more about these.

- Raising a Happy NEET is available both as an .apk and in Joyplay.

- I also know Dog Princess has a mobile version. I found it in F95 before it was deleted, I don't know if the M+ post has it or not. Be careful, there is a known apk version that contains malware. The one I have is clean as far as I know.
- And finally, quite a lot of RPGM, RenPy, Godot, and HTML games work on
