It's prob abandoned. I asked back when I was still on SS what happend to L&D and it was ignored. A post back in March (I think) said otherwise but usaully when the dev loses interest abandoned usually is what happens.
"Let's talk about Light & Dark. According to the poll, you wouldn't mind waiting longer, but—and I have to admit this to myself—I've completely lost touch with it.
I'm sitting here with a new chapter, and all the ideas in my head just don't fit. When I try to write like I usually do, I realize that nothing excites me, and if it doesn't excite me, then it certainly won't excite you.
So what can I do?
It will continue, but I don't think I'll continue it the way it is. And if there's something new, don't worry, the characters will stay the same; only the story will take a different turn. The thing with the father and the aliens... it was something I saw in another game, and I thought, hey, that fits... but unfortunately, no. It's completely off, and I can't come up with a story that makes any sense whatsoever."
It really sounds like ADHD when one's mind races like that, they work on idea picked out of dozens floating around in their head, then drop it while leaving it half-baked while working on the next idea (his current unnamed AVN, 120k words of which already written and mostly done, go figure). A classic example of why devs really should just write the entire story first before even the first render or line of code even if it's 1000+ scenes in total. I guess we were somewhat lucky that Mau-Sama was ever finished (even if it did get weird as fuck to me later on), and guessing it was mostly written beforehand as I previously mentioned.
