As long as paywalling exists, piracy will exist. All developers need to understand this and come to terms with it. There is no point in throwing tantrums and complicating paywalling, as this will attract even more "pirates", make leaks even faster and more extensive (for all developer projects). A clear example is the LiL dev, whose game leaks a few _minutes_ after the release for supporters. The mechanism is the same as with bullies at school: if your behavior reproduces the victim model, it provokes the attention of bullies.

The only way to avoid leaks is to do them yourself (give the latest version for free to everyone at the same time, without discriminating people into "paid/not" classes). Piracy is freedom of access for everyone, and there will always be those willing to provide this freedom. It's just the world we live in, it's always been like that, and it always will be like that.

And, as far as I understand, this site is not about supporting developers (this can bring problems to the owner), but about sharing links to games. The more links and the fresher the versions - the better for the site and its users. Any repression for leakers is counterproductive in this regard. As sad as it is to admit, but the problems of developers are the problems of the developers themselves, if they are not ready to accept the harsh reality - perhaps they need to find another occupation. Or just "forget" about piracy and do what your heart tells you, not caring about money and lost profits. Nerves cannot be restored and cannot be bought for any money.

The large number of paying users in a short period of time draws attention and leads to the well-known consequences. Receive from those who can 'contribute' but not 'pay' and honor those who can't... or cease operations... the most regrettable.

this is true. I've been a supporter of various game devs of all kinds. the ones who know their game is gonna get leaked and are fine with it, tend to keep an income, because they keep their focus on making their game good. while the ones who spend their time and energy trying to fight it, waste that energy, and their game ends up missing content or being shit, or taking too long, and they lose supporters.

Piracy is a law. so long as people cannot, or don't want to spend their money on something, it will exist. that doesn't mean you ignore the people who are WILLING to spend money on your product.

here is an analogy: imagine owning a burger shop, and someone comes in and says "i'd like to buy one of your burgers please" and instead of saying "Sure, i could use the money. business is tight these days and every penny counts", you say "hold on a sec, I gotta deal with these pesky rats that keep coming in and stealing my food" and you spend the next 6-8 hours running after these rats, and putting up cages traps, and all kinds of nonsense. By the time you come back to the customer, they're gone. why? they moved on to another burger seller, who isn't spending half their day doing a 1-person recreation of the movie "Mouse Hunt". are the rats a problem? yeah. can you deal with them right now? no. is it better to build loyalty with your clientele by giving them what they want for the moment, than chase after a couple rats? absolutely.

tbh bro i wouldnt stress myself to much about leaks it will happen no matter what you do even big dev teams (and im not talking about adult games) cant prevent it and they have 100s of devs and millions of $$$ and different kinds of security messures to prevent leaks and it still happens.
