I typically refrain from judging devs, but this time it is just way too silly of a situation, with statements like - "incest was never a part of my game"... Yeah... riiight... a porn parody of Dark, which had incest caused by time travel shenanigans as one of the main themes, was never planned to have incest in it... so dialogs like "how you feel about relations between ROOMMATES" is totally natural.

Its always so funny, when devs desperately try to "cleanse" their i-themed or loli themed games of their initial theme, without sufficiently reworking scenario and then pretend that it was always meant to be like that. "Yeah, it was always a story about 18 years old roommates that just happened to live with mid aged unrelated woman, i swear!". Just dont don't pay attention to silly dialogs about roommates and tenants, or when a totally 18 years olds behave like they are mentally deficient babies that were sheltered from outside world for whole their lives.

Totally sucks that the MC finally fucks his auntie and what does he do? He pulls out with no choice otherwise. I hate that almost as much as blueballing, it's why I gave up and quit even downloading The Way Love Goes several updates ago. Totally stupid and a wasted scene (and wasted cum). Why not leave it up to the player? I would have definitely filled that twinkie, there was birth control in 1999, so creampie doesn't always have to equal pregnant and she seemed like a smart enough girl to be on it/plan on fucking soon. And even if not it would have been nice to see what his 19yo daucous looked like in 2019 (assuming she didn't die again and it was a girl). Patreon ass-kissing/rim-jobbing aside this is another reason why I mostly quit giving money to unfinished AVNs.

Agree with you about Eternum; Ripples I'm not so sure about It started off well, but seems to have become too bogged down with storyline complications.

Does it ever actually have butterfly effects? I kinda lost interest after it seemed to become clear that there wouldn't actually be any real timeline shenanigans in a game about time travel literally called ''Ripples''.

Not that the game wasn't good, but my brain sometimes has this thing where if I go into a story strongly expecting one theme that I'm excited about, and then it's completely different, my brain goes 'ew, no!' even if the rest of the story is something I'd totally be into.

THe only ''butterfly effect'' I've encountered is the possibility to affect the name of one of the girls, and since I liked her original name I didn't change it.

Right there with you. I actually had this idea when he first started traveling that was exciting to me even though I was sure that it wouldn't go that far: what if he just went on a boinking spree in the past, and like, every single girl his age in town was his daughter. THe (admittedly out there) idea that every girl he could date could be his daughter definitely cued the (figurative) waterfall of my inner incestuous pervert.

The storyline is the entire point with Ripples. The lewd stuff is mostly for fun, and tbh the storyline would still be able to stand on its own if Jestur removed all the lewdity and just wrote the story. Any time travel story that even pretends to any degree of realism is going to get 'complicated.' It's just in the nature of time travel, especially two-way time travel where you can see the effects of your actions in the past. Heck, Jestur so far is doing time travel better than most big-budget film franchises have -- certainly better than Star Trek did (and I love ST, but they really went out in left field on time travel). So, yeah, it's "complicated." And yet we all still love it, because the story and the visuals are both top-notch. To quote Carly Simon, "Nobody does it better..."

"Love" is too strong a word to me. These days anything that passes Patreon's Hays Code enforcers is "meh" at best. In fact I'm at the point if any new AVN has a Patreon link/page at all that tells me it's shit and I tend to not even dl it. And lets be honest with AVN synonomous with fap material if this had no sex in it people would be leaving bad reviews left and right and calling it a blueballer, it's why the "no sexual content" tag is so rare and even rarer that anyone subs to those other than old people that can't get hard anymore anyway (eg A Father's Sins = a waste of time and not the father I had in mind when the F-D incest I was hoping for wasn't there).

That last scene when he pulls out of his auntie in 1999 instead of making a future daucous to fuck in 2019 with no choice leaving it up to the readers sucks ass.

A perfect opportunity for a place to put a choice that big time mattered (an LI either exists in 2019 or doesn't, among other things) totally wasted.
