Especially when those updates consistently have significant content. Even plenty of games that do update consistently have, like, 15 minutes of content per update; meanwhile the changelog for 0.51.0 says 20 full events.

Selebus is definitely the most consistent creator I've come across. I subscribe to several creators, but he's one of the few that I really feel I got my money's worth from. He has this game planned out by the year. He has said this game is going to take 10 years to finish, even with the huge amount of content he put out each month, and I believe him. So we are roughly halfway done.

It is so weird and yet therapeutic to see all of my fears, my mind, my dreams, and my pain laid before my eyes in a game maid by someone else who I have never met or known, and who seems to have about as much theological research as myself. I still won't put this game above My New Family, as it quite literally saved my life and also fills me with nothing but warmth, but this has become my second favorite story ever, and definitely fills me with a lot of things other than warmth.

Totally get what you mean! you can't look away from - it's dark, twisted, and yet, it somehow resonates deep within you. Seeing your own fears, dreams, and pain reflected in a game created by a stranger is both unsettling and cathartic. It's wild how art can tap into our psyche like that. And I love how you compare it to My New Family, that's a beautiful testament to the impact games can have on our lives. it's definitely got a strong emotional pull, right?

If you enjoy that bit of emotion journey in the narrative ... ntr followed by a U turn leaving the other party completely humiliated or better still tricking them .. so the MC becomes the main focus again .. is so much more rewarding.

Obviously IMO!

I hear you, but if that was the case, I wouldn't have such a strong reaction to Berserk. It's also what I hated about the hills have eyes remake, nit the terrible writing. Like I said though, I forgive and accept this for the story it is.

Clearly with how much I relate to the psychology of the story, I tend to look for happy, power fantasy, and cheating like God.

Not what I want to see, but still fantastic writing.

I have no idea why people lose their minds over ntr. It's a VN = VISUAL NOVEL... there is a story . Not just a solo MC with a 3 foot dick that fucks everyone. Unfortunately most games these days are just that.

Came for the petite girls, stayed for the great writing (fell in love with many characters, had to stop many times and convince myself to carry on, that it will get better, delusional I know) and now I have to let go.

These might be the best-looking Koikatsu screenshots I've seen yet.The character models still look "flat" shading-wise, but they somehow still look much better than other stuff I've seen. Is this what mastery of the program looks like? Or are they making good use of add-ons and mods? I'm not trying to bash Koikatsu or its users, I'm genuinely trying to learn why this one sticks out to me in comparison.

I try really hard not to hate her because she is hyper sane and doesn't know what she is a horrible person, but she is hard to forgive.

I will say though, this is the series of unfortunate circumstances of avn. If you are looking for a happy story you are in the wrong place. Turn of the computer, and forget you were ever here. Pet a puppy, spend time with your loved ones.

It's an amazing story though.

yeah I know and the outstanding writing is what kept me going. Conveying teen angst and sadness and unbelievably heartwarming moments... And I know that most people have no problem with the other stuff and can intellectually appreciate the crass contrast and brokenness he wants us to experience. I just hoped it would not get that extrem.

Dev just posted that he is moving to Japan and teaming up with a studio for future projects to be released after this one (although this one will remain a solo project because he is too attached to it and doesn't trust anyone else with it).
