I unren and check similar games (loli and/or incest) because they seem to be the ones that get chopped the most. I saw chapter 1 had 440+ images and a ton of animated files (movies ) removed in this new version. Thanks for saving me time to figure out the scene removed.
WinMerge is your friend! I use it on every update before I delete if I'm suspicious something was removed/altered.
I'm just wondering why. It wasn't just a few images but the whole animation and the images before and after it, so a lot of work for nothing and arguably that was her best scene. I can't think of a narrative reason why, as BH tends to make dark shit and not give 2 fucks about Karens' opinions. Obviously he didn't do it because Steam or Patreon asked him to like a lot of devs since it's banned pretty much everywhere anyway. He did mention he started making decensor patches for his AVNs so maybe it was just an accident/patch bug or the wrong version was uploaded. He once said paid versions won't be censored or something, I'd have to go back to Discord and look.
I haven't really looked at this closely since I haven't finished SoWP yet, but I can run a comparison to see if it's really missing or not.
nice. All I know is it's there in Ch1, but the save from Ch1 in Ch2 doesn't link to the choice anymore (it's no longer there) but just the shorter scene. Often when things are removed it breaks the save and throws an error when you try to load it rather than that happening.
So going through the files, it just looks like all the erotic content got moved to a new folder called "heart". I don't see a variable for it, so the overrides should kick in automatically. The thing is, you have to be at the beginning of a label or it will show you the censored version. So if you just roll back where your save is to the beginning of a scene (each scene should roughly correspond with the appropriate label), it will take you to the correct label using the override. This makes it easy to produce the censored version without having to use a large patch, so I can see why they did it this way.
Yeah I think all of this crap was done to stay on Itch, though I'm surprised they haven't simply banned all porn yet along with other platforms. They did for awhile then backtracked last month so they will prob do so again permanently at some point after the next round of Karens bitch and bellyache about it.
