This wasn't directed at me, but yes that is sort of what's being said. More accurately, it's that things CAN be done, but mostly it won't achieve anything meaningful until regulation comes into play and slaps them down. Operation fight fire with fire has been seeing some level of success by annoying the shit out of VISA and MC, but long term that is all it will probably achieve. The most realistic outcome currently (from my point of view) is that VISA and MC will offer some kind of apology, they might even back down this time, but they've done this before, and they will do it again. Complaining about it IS important, because if we roll over and take it then the chances of regulators doing anything decreases, but complaining alone isn't going to solve the issue, we still need people in higher positions to put payment processors in their place.
