That scene is one of my least favorite due to its gratuitously graphic nature. It was graphic to the extent that I presume LiveLeak vids to be [this has to be a presumption on my part, as I have never intentionally sought nor opened a LiveLeak image or vid].

I'm not in favor of censorship, but torturing a person to death on camera is beyond the pale for me, and I believe it should have been off camera to a greater extent. I do not feel that it would have lessened its impact. The ending of Braveheart is an example I'll hold up of successfully 'skirting the line for emotional and visceral impact'. It's an awful scene, in that it's just about impossible for me to watch dispassionately, but I find it watchable.

I guess that I'm saying that I don't desire that much 'reality' in my entertainment media.

In that situation I usually apologize to the mods -- mention the time spent waiting and then post. Usually I only do this if I have waited at least 30 minutes, and invariably someone posts within a minute or two of my double post.
