Yes, and the camper is in mess. It sat outside covered in trash and neglect for 3 years. They gave it to me, so, will make a decent trailer if it is not worth to fix up. I now have camper trailer and caravan. The way I am going I can rent out for accommodation haha. JK. I wont do that.

Today, I drove for a total trip of 7 hours. I helped a friend, got lost, and feel like I drove round Japan 3 times hah, but she was stuck for transport and so I thought why not.

I feel you. I'm currently between jobs and disability with no job income. Thankfully I have a couple other sources of passive income. It's rough out there these days.

Yep. me too. On disability. It is not much, but usually fine to get by, but this week has been a real hard one. It is spend almost as soon I got it. Shopping costs was just double my usual. Plus few other things, but I can manage somehow. Maybe rent my body out for few hours lol (im joke. I will never do that)

Honestly, don't think too much about it unless you intend to be a long-term regular of the forums.

If you plan on being a forum regular, however, choosing a pfp and "persona" that you feel matches who you are is the way to go, in my opinion.

Before I had a Silco pfp, I had my username locked down because "Lazarus" is a name I feel I resonate with as I feel like I have metaphorically died and been resurrected in my life before.

The Silco pfp and association came later after I became more active, but I chose him as someone that has more than a little bit of a dark side but is also a family man that never expected to end up in that position (which I resonate strongly with - for different reasons than Silco, but still)

All in all, I feel like I embody the name and the chosen character fairly well and decided this is my forum identity.

If there is anything that comes to mind that helps you craft an identity, use that. Otherwise, don't overthink it.

YES I especially loved the ant civilization arc Where they slowly achieved world dominance. Anthills were abandoned, each of which featured a statue of a human foot kicking over an anthill, in memory of the mutant Joe doing just that and kickstarting the ants’ evolution. Another book of his I would suggest is The Goblin Reservation, featuring an educated Neanderthal, a biomechanical sabertooth tiger, aliens that move about on wheels, a man who time-travels using an unreliable device implanted in his brain, a ghost, trolls, banshees, goblins, a dragon and even Shakespeare.

I read 'City' about 20 years ago, so I don't remember the ants. Maybe I should re-read. I also read a second book from Simak, and it was a mix of science fiction and fantasy, so it can very well be the one you are describing, but I don't recall anything at all.
