Would you recommend that 1979 movie? It has horrible reviews, but i'm intrigued by the premise.
But I've been intrigued by the premise of "Mickey-17" this weekend and i deeply regret watching that movie.
Edit: i tried watching 1979 movie - wouldn't recommend, it didn't age well.

I hate that argument. Yes, if a lot of people lose their jobs and livelihood all of a sudden - it would be a catastrophe. But "This will destroy jobs" tends to be used to protect a waste of people lives and resources. Job preservation should never be a reason to keep doing something the way it is done.

I think you are missing the point. Of course war is no beneficial for the working class, but the economic reset and the expenditure that comes with war is.

If governments would spend more in education, health, art and science, like they do in weapons during war times... let's think what would it do.

I hope it will be as you say, I still get a ridiculous interest rate. The daily interest rate should definitely increase from 2% to 10%. We are working as the whole world in a system where people spend 80-90% of their lives working and then spend the last 10% of their lives on vacation, in a system where there is supposedly no slavery but in fact slavery for money continues unofficially. I'm waiting for an alternative reality where someone will come out and say that everything is free and all this time we've been working is for nothing and it's just to test you for a certain period of time. If God exists, then let him send these people food and oxygen from the sky and gift packages that meet their needs.

I have friends at work who look like monkeys. They are white, so I don't consider myself racist, but they are monkeys. I hate them and I want to shove a banana down their throats and drown them. Ummmmmmm It's not really bad, the plot is ok -- and it is fun but Peter Graves, Dick Sargent (Bewitched) and Keenan Wynn just don't "fit" in the 1979 Horror / sf movie. I think the almost identical premise in "The Island" (2005) is a better watch
