You were technically correct, but I was thinking of isolating it to myself or someone else, and being altruistic about it. I've just always disliked knowing people die when they shouldn't. Everyone having said abilities would be terrible as you said.

If people didn't die or age, we wouldn't need as much procreation, because the preservation of the species wouldn't rely on continued lineages, it would be other factors. It could be Chaotic, though, the aspects and possibilities are actually really interesting. It would be neat if it was basically a lottery, and just a select few were granted Immortality by forces unseen, but the criteria excluded people that took advantage of people or that would potentially abuse it.

Is war actually beneficial to the working class? Im talking about the mutual destruction type like WW2. After the war middle class prosperity was higher than ever, and has been in decline ever since with the roll back to all the laws and programs that made the prosperity possible, now tax evasion is common if your rich though stocks and debt while forcing more and more taxes on the working class. This though came to me when I heard about the war in Ukraine and the rise in wages for things like trucking in Russia

Rise of wages != "beneficial for the working class".
War causes grand expenditure, economic reset and a lot chaos. And, as everyone knows, chaos is a ladder. Lots of people will simply lose everything and die. Which will create opportunities for others to take their places.
And, believe it or not, most of people dying during wars belong to working class.
I'd prefer to slave away at a dead end job, rather than risk everything for a chance in chaos.

While the question was directed to individuals in essentially a room, not the entirety of the planet. For example when someone wishes for rain, they often didn't mean for rain for everyone, how long it will rain, or how heavy it will be. It's also why wishes are dangerous, because the interpretations are the persons viewpoint or bias, and something being literal or said it a specific way is basically the story of the Monkey's Paw, tempting fate, morality, and being careful what you wish for.

Imagine saying, I wish there there were no starving people, and they all just vanish, instead of being fed.

The single in the sentence is in reference to the wish, as in just one wish, the thing is the question was not for any wish but for a world changing wish. Regarding the subjectivity of wishes, I agree, but I was not talking about the interpretation of the wish but about the question itself. (Anyway you could explicitly re-encompass the scope of the wish, as I did in my response, but otherwise you would asume you are following the original scope)

With the way things are going I don't even want to be in the Americas. I'm pretty much stuck between 4 locations, I have a place in Colorado and Los Angeles, luckily I don't pay rent in LA. I own a house in Texas, and Canada, both left by my parents. I don't rent to my Relatives on my Mom's side, because Family like to take advantage and either pay rent late or try to duck and make excuses. Keeping your Homes vacant usually means you have squatters or break-ins. I'm not ready to let either go, but I'd rather be in my shitty Studio Apartment in Colorado.
