This, wow, I'm a little shocked at how good it's turning out to be. Very good story and I think I'm actually playing it to see what happens next, like in the actual story. I'm hooked. Also Brittani is a surprise fav. Don't normally go for that type.

Friends in Need is a game I recently stumbled across which surprised me with how many ways a scene can play out. Most characters have multiple routes and each sex scene has a good amount of variation. I am a bit worried about how well the dev can keep so many alternative choices feel impactful long-term, but for now I like it a lot.

Fetish Locator is an all-timer for me. Played the first part with no expectation then avidly consumed parts 2 and 3 as they came out. Good ass VNs with solid player choice and writing.

I'm gonna say 'Light of My Life', it's just a really endearing game to play. I was a little iffy on the character models, but that was gone so quick when actually playing the game.

Mist, it’s a rare gem on the games with 3d animations, beautiful and fluid animations, one of my favorite games.

YES, exactly. Easily in my top 10 list.
Good engaging storytelling as well.

Unteralterbach, yeah the game gets kinda stupid at the end with the puzzles, but it became one of my favorites, I didn't like the artstyle and never gave it a try until I saw people praising it so hard, gave it a try and i liked it

I've been hooked on Portals of Phereon recently. Very in-depth strategy game, it's really sucked me in. As silicon said, Unteralterbach is a classic gem, very hard to go wrong with.

Sorcerer from Talothral, it was my first game from him and boy did his writing surprise me. A Struggle With Sin is another that surprised me how great the game actually is.

Grandmas house for sure. i was skeptical because of the super old lady implications and the lack of animation. but overall its been my most followed and anticipated games.

I came here to say almost EXACTLY this! I thought she would be a throwaway type bimbo character and she ended up being my favorite. Was pleasantly shocked, both by how the game has developed from “My crush needs to borrow money one night” to what it is now, and some of the characters sing written much better than I expected. Love it!

Recently .. Leaving DNA is some of the highest quality writing in a AVN I have ever seen. Very story heavy and not a ton of sexy times .. although the lewds there are are great. But emotionally engaging story.

Classic .. Now and Then was very suprising. The art is Honey Select, and I never expect much from zombie stories, so the odds were stacked against it. But it was really good. Good enough to get me to do a full replay because I enjoyed it.

Boxed In: Was honestly a really great surprise. I had run out of games recently that actually caught my interest, and this one felt refreshing in a way I didn’t expect. As an incest-themed game, I think it handled the story in a way that was very engaging.
