Plus, they're fraternal twins after all.

Not from the dialogue they're not unless you changed it in this version as it's always stated that Chris and Alex were adopted from two different families but could be easily mistaken for being twins at the start of the game.

You're right, and I edited the post to reflect this. My bad.

I normally prefer futa to trans... but kudos to you AVNSnax, the story kept me up all night last night. Had me really worried for Alex a couple times. Love what you're doing with this title!

I can't give an unequivocal assessment!
Not a bad story, but here in terms of sex in general bullshit complete, or rather it is not even there. Plus cringe faces)

While I enjoyed most of this update, the stuff with Elliot felt a little bit gross because it feels to me like she deserves what happened. And that's just a bad way to frame SA. At the very list I don't think it was necessary to show it.

I'm finally to see this got an update. I started when chapter 8 was released. The update was nice. It is a little bit saddening to see that chapter 10 is the finale, it feels like there are other relationships that haven't been explored yet but have been built on in terms of dialogue. Sad to see that there is a high chance of no relationship with Glenn if the next chapter is the last one. It might be a long chapter though, hoping for that at least.

This game really show the trans experience, the good and the bad, as a trans woman myself, i can't thank you enough for creating it.

The part about all cops being a bunch of drunkard, corrupt, violent people who are the worst criminals themselves is really true too.

This is a title I really wasn't sure I'd be into. To my surprise, it's now near the top of my list of games I most anxiously await updates for.

Finished the chapter 9 update today and I'm already impatient for the final update. I'm thoroughly invested in how this is going to turn out.

I went through my current save choosing all the "negative" options that Alex had. Will probably go through it again doing the opposite to kill time while waiting for chapter 10. Does it actually make much of a difference in how the game plays out to this point, or will it only really impact the ending?

I tried Ch.9 and liked everything about it with the sex stuff between the Mc and the other girls but hated the part where elliott lost her virginity to the worthless asshole kevin and wasn't done by the Mc as a revenge option or something.

i like this game, but the tits are a bit big for my taste, Still a very good game tho

Incredible game!
It made me feel a lot of emotions that I'm not used to having with this type of game!

Reading what this story is about, I'm worried the main narrative is just Alex getting in bad situation after bad situation, with the writer using these situations to soap box about trans rights.
Is there any nuance in this story, or does everyone just hate trans people?

Well, I'm the author, so I can address your questions directly.

Do you personally know any trans people? Or anyone who has gone through serious abuse and trauma because of their race, religion, skin color, sexual orientation, or ... to hell with it: anyone who isn't a lily-white Christian nationalist heterosexual Republican? Confusion is the story of a trans woman who rises above it all and excels despite all of the hate, abuse, and vitriol sent her way. It's a drama, but it has a happy ending. I'd like to think that the story is nuanced, but I'm obviously biased. If telling such a story is considered "soap-boxing," then I guess I'm guilty. Not every erotic story has to be about low-IQ incel college boys fucking every hole in sight. IMHO.

This probably answers my question about nuance... I'm not from the US.
I've known several trans people in my life, some had it worse than others, but none were rejected by society at large.

I guess this falls into the category of "you had to be there." I'm American. This is a story about an American trans girl in the US midwest. Trans persons are being erased from culture thanks to our current president. They've removed all references to transgender people from government publications and websites. (Seriously--they just went through and did a mass re-edit of all government web pages to change all "LGBTQ+" references to "LGB"...) The Republican party has made it a center plank of their party platform to prevent transition-related healthcare, prevent teaching about gender, prevent discrimation based on gender, and on and on. This has been going on for years, but just escalated to a fever pitch with the recent presidential election cycle. And serious crimes against trans people (especially kids) are on the rise.

So the story doesn't really need a soapbox. The soapbox is already there thanks to present day US politics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was about to post the Confusion finale, but saw that a moderator beat me to it. Ah well, I guess I don't need to monitor this thread so closely anymore.

If you're interested in supporting me, and participating with the development of my new game, University Trans-fer, come join me on my . Thanks.

Eh, the game was (according to the OP) released on Jun 1, 2022.
So you can't really blame Trump since Biden was then president of the USA.
I suppose you started writing the game during Trump's first term, but still, you can't blame him for everything.

To be honest, this comment is examplary of what I dislike most about this game: the way that politics are being pushed into the narrative.

"lily-white Christian nationalist heterosexual Republicans" are people too. And none of the ones that I know would treat Alex the way she's treated in the game. And neither would any police officer I know. Even if they happen to disagree with trans as a concept, and perhaps don't wish to contribute to surgery with their tax money, they don't need to hate trans persons.

Bad (and good) people exist with all kinds of political or religious preferences.

Which does not mean that I think that trans people have easy lives. I'm sure many of them don't have it easy at all, and that's something that this game portrays really well.

It's just that I find this woke binary thinking (Republican bad, Democrat good, Christian bad, Atheist good etc.), which is mostly present in Alex' mother, very very annoying.

If the game had, for example, a "lily-white Christian nationalist heterosexual Republican" older uncle type character, who would be nothing but sympathetic towards Alex, despite not agreeing with the general trans ideology, it would give this game a lot more depth.

But, anyway, thanks for coming here to post the update!
