I use to really enjoy this, but it's just become 4 different games fighting for screen time. Dev got burnt on the orignal version and instead of abandoning it, decided to just add another game on top of it, which people didn't really care about, then added another etc.

I still think it's too bad he axed Saving Yandere, put that LI in this game instead but watered her character down to be less crazy to fit with the harem thing.

Is there still the other version with the more cartoonish characters of this version being updated?

If you mean the Honey Select 1 renders I'm pretty sure he is completely redoing them for this game to be in Honey Select 2 instead. I might be wrong though, it's hard to follow what the development plan is with this game.

With how convoluted the development for the game is right now, it's best for me or anyone else to just wait a year or two to come back. Unless the dev just outright abandons the game or makes another remake.

This newer version with a higher version number is actually just a far less complete version of the game he was already working on. New versions of the girls are nothing like they were before and they seem to all be basically the same body with different hair and outfits. The "teacher" looks like another student rather than actually looking older than the other girls, like in the original.
Find a version of the pre-customization PublicSexLifeH and play that instead. More scenes, more locations, more features, better models. Last version I grabbed of the old one was .70 compared to this .86 and it has WAY more. The only possible draw of this version is the outfits, which require becoming a patron. Given that the models feel more generic and all have the same body compared to the older version, you'd be paying to put outfits on worse girls anyway.

Same. Way back in the day I used to follow the original version. It's really sad to see what happened to it. I was so looking forward to future updates but then it basically got abandoned for this.

I haven't played this game in years, and i'm just curious if i should just jump to the remaster or play the regular version first...and if i remember correctly those 5 girls are the only sexable characters? or was that a different game? oh...and also, based on tags i'm guessing zero sexual interaction between the girls in any way?

What's funny to me is that this version *is* a remaster. I remember when there was a build that used anime/cartoon characters like Raven (Teen Titans) instead of the Honey Select models. I also remember the transition period when the Honey Select characters had the same names (Raven, etc). The original was just called Public Sex Life, and then the dev made this one and just tacked on the H to differentiate them.

Remastering a remaster. Interesting decision. I wonder if the dev works at SquareEnix.

The models look good and the idea is really cool but the game is just too janky. Either the promised features should be implemented fully or a lot of polish should be done on existing features.
