Every year it starts in January and ends at the end of December. But it seems to me that it starts in June and ends in May. So it feels like the year ends in summer, not in winter.

That would be Spring. Summer starts in late June (in the Northern Hemisphere.) That's also an odd way of thinking.

No, this is completely my opinion. I don't feel like I'm starting a new year in January, I feel more like I'm starting a new year in the summer when everything is on vacation because I live in the northern hemisphere.

Yeah ofc, it's just that somewhere deep deep down inside stored in the back of the brain (or wherever, I have no clue how the brain works) there is still a little second grader getting their summer break every year = new year
