Yes. The reaction was so bad, the next one made the whole mafia part "just a dream." It was a pretty short update. Also the last update.

Oh wow. I thought him getting shot was the last update. He really wrote himself into a corner with that one. Changing it to a dream is a complete cop out and made it worse.

I think it would've been better if he just woke up in a hospital with everybody worried about him and him saying he's fine and what doesn't kill him makes him stronger type jokes and him bragging about being shot and living because of how strong he is or whatever ect while secretly plotting to hunt that gang down and kill them like in his free time or something. I mean that's where I would've went with it if given such a scenario. I personally would have never let that happen. But oh well

So I extracted it into the 'game' sub-folder and none of the scenes are triggering. though I do have the multi-mod also installed with the compatibility patch is there something I'm missing?

As a note the 'lwdptch' folder is in the 'game' sub-folder.

The multimod requires patch compatibility files according to the download, did you install those?

This is one that started out good, then the dev made an incredibly dumb decision with a drastic change in the plot, people hated it so next update was "oh, that was just a dream." Never recovered. I think the mafia thing cost lots of Patrons - so it crashed and burned.

The game was abandoned more than a year ago so your reaction is a bit late.
The game died the moment the second update was released, the first update was already bad but the second one shifted the direction of the game completely.

To me, it just felt like the quality went downhill, so I can understand why it got abandoned. And was it just me or did it have a lot of missing content with just grey screens towards the end?

This one started out good, but the dev screwed the pooch with the mafia cliffhanger of the MC getting shot. Then the negative response he made it "just a dream." Then that was the last update.
