Yes, I read the novel that I selected. Some do go too far into background of characters right away. Not a fan of pulling the cell phone out to read msgs., but an immersive well written novel with plenty of sex scenes with teens and milfs I will read with hopes of getting wrapped up in it. Let's not forget it also needs to have a good variety of kinks for the reader to choose from.

Depends on the story, the ADD has been winning lately, so I am usually pretty impatient and skip a lot at the beginning of the story.
Once things start happening actual plot-wise, I'll start skimming the conversations and if it's interesting I'll start paying more attention.

Depends strongly on the story, but in general if the text is boring, badly written or very long and winding I usually skip some lines.
I try to keep track of the general story though, so I'm not just skipping from scene to scene, even if the story is not to engaging.
I rarely skip, if the story is good, but this is sadly not the case for most stories...
