A new important update has been posted covering the Donation Rewards bug, the reset of incorrect Donation and Platinum credits, the upcoming reclaim system for previous tracked donations, and the new Vault freeze/maintenance behavior. The goal is to remove bug-generated credits, protect real donation history, and rebuild the system in a cleaner and safer way going forward. - Jack Of Blades

So, I’ve been feeling done lately. Like, completely fried—no energy, no motivation, just staring at the wall and questioning my life choices every time I log in to a site and just stare blankly on why I am here.
I figured I’d throw this out here because I know I’m not the only one who deals with it. How do you handle burnout?

I’ve tried a few things Like just going outside, binging anime (just found out that I love rom com oddly enough), hell even working out.
But honestly, Half the time, nothing works, and I just quit halfway.
So, what about you? Do you have a go-to way to reset, or are you in the same “burnout limbo” boat as me? Let’s hear it—whether it’s legit advice, weird hacks, or just relatable rants.
Let’s figure this out together because honestly, I’m tired of feeling tired.

You need to start communicate with people around you, human always was a social living being. I've been there too, i am working as a coach, a lot of talks, but they dont give me any satisfaction, because its only work. After some psychologist session we found out that i lack of praise and support from people, because of my parents. Find someone who will give you, what you need. But its okay to be tired, just don't focus on it. I might know how hard it is, but you need to move and do things like anime and work out. Do everything step by step, and you will move way further than you think. I like this quote from disco elysium:"The road to healing is going to be a long one. Stay the course. You will make it, some day. Just remember: You've made it this far... and it's just a bit farther now." Try to follow my advice c:

That's good advice. Find whoever your real-life people are and spend some time with them.

So, what about you
Try eating more meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and other vitamins, it will help a lot and stabilize your mood, visit a doctor and ask for some basic tests, they sure will find lacking one thing or another, do NOT take "anti depressants" it will mess you up completely. Quit watching porn and anything lewd, horniness is the worst libido / mood killer. Fresh air is good! Dump toxic environment and repetitive tasks, try something new and productive

Sometimes there is nothing you can do, and you just need to ride it out

Sistersexual has sime excellent advice though.

A solid chsnge of environment can help, and being social is a big plus. Break out of routine, maybe pick up a new hobby, even for a day. Books, or audio books can be a good escape as well.

Re-lit that fire under your ass.

Couldn't resist the cheap pun, but it's not incorrect. I think it's about finding motivation (and why you lost it) and re-lit the fires of passion.
Can't really say anything specific, though I'm wondering if I'm sliding into the same hole as well these days... 😕 Better try and get some of that fire back myself... 😤

Winter season can be tough for a lot of people. Specially if you live in the Northern countries.
But very solid advice otherwise and it can sometimes be about just creating habits and if the old habits have become stale and boring to dare something new.

Do nice things for other people. You don't need to spend money. Hold the door open, tell someone you like their shoes, help someone with their groceries. Whatever you feel comfortable with. And most of all don't go to Youtube, or wherever, and post negative comments. You're doing more damage to your psyche than theirs.

Honestly it does sound more like depressions than a burn-out.
On the other hand, burn-out is a form of depression, but caused by high stress levels.

But who am I to make a remote diagnosis. 🤷‍♂️

Every person is different, so what works for some will not work for others. So don't let it discurage you if some things won't work.

The only thing I can say is, avoid easily executed repetitive activities that are not physical exercise. This will only keep you in a loop of doing the same thing over and over again. It's important to get out of the rut.
Detach yourself from the things that make you to do the same things again. Internet is one of them. You visit this site and maybe youtube or reddit/twitter to find something that keeps you busy, but you'll never actually get something like that, you will just stall time. Opening LC without wanting anything is the same thing as opening your fridge without being hungry.

If you force yourself to not use this time stalling methods, you might find something proper.

Also don't expect that to disappear overnight or even within a month, maybe even half a year.
See it as your motivation beging damaged, it needs time to heal. You don't start running just because you've gotten a cast after breaking your leg.

I know, this is a lot of don'ts instead of your desired dos. 😅

Thanks man really need that and yeah ill talk with some friends i have not spoken to in a long time

A weird hack that has always worked for me is to go for a whole day without eating any food and drinking only water. Then I get some light/moderate cardio the next morning and after that it seems to reset my brain chemistry

Yeah, I don't do it too often. Maybe once every 4 or 5 months. Probably best to start slow though if you decide to give it a try, like seeing how you feel after just one meal in a day.

For me, it is finding something I never get tired of. I am a car nut so I tinker with my cars a lot. I have drag raced since I got my license. Gaming takes a lot of time for me and just makes the hours go by. Without getting into details, I am permanently disabled due to injuries I suffered in my chosen career. I am limited in what I can do and I know what you mean when you describe your struggles. You just have to find a way to make the hours pass. Passing time brought me here and I found a new way to spend time and help others by taking advantage of all of the education opportunities that my old career made possible. My dad always said that we make time for what is important to us. You just need to find what is important for your emotional well being. Figure that out and if it means trying a bunch of different things, so be it.

Look for long lasting quality of life changes. Avoid the short term dopamine fix to cope with how you feel. Start with small changes to not feel overwhelmed. It's not something you can fix overnight.

Usually the burnout is a simptom of other things that are wrong. The first thing you should start taking care of is your body and health: sleep, diet and going to the gym. Even if you don't feel like it. Having a nice sleep, a good diet and going to the gym is probably the solution to 80% of mind related problems. It's really hard to have a healthy mind when you don't have a healthy body.

Also, don't expect things to change in a day or two. Start good habits and keep them for at least 4-5 weeks, only then you'll start seing some changes
