My problem is because writer can't write incest story because of it being banned in places, they have to used stand in like Roommate and landlady that it lead to stories that leady to dialoged and some story elements that are design to be generic enough that it could fit many type of character relationship titles (aka Parent ,step parent, landlord, roommate, other).

Often devs use stock models with little artistic intention. The look of the game is either generic cookie-cutter looking (same body models with slightly different hair style or skin color and bust) or they use multiple assets from different creators so the bodily proportions and skin textures are clearly not within the same style. One thing that always pushed me away from most 3D games is the lack of stylization. I want pixar-moms not VAM models.

The OP is basically complaining that such a thing as a trope exists. Almost half the complaints amount to: "Why do all these FPS games have the character using guns to kill people?" An incest game is going to have incest in it, and no one wants to play an Adult Visual Novel with ugly characters who never have sex (outside of the very narrow fetish of NTR which is even more trope laden than incest), that alone means that most of the points are kind of meaningless. And of the remainder, several are just critiques of AVNs as a whole (attractive Mc, girls falling for him quickly, etc.).

One of the few valid criticism is that many incest games do gloss over the taboo nature or get over it rather quickly. But even that isn't a true criticism of the genre but of the dev making the game, and if the storyteller falls short with incest than even if they tried another genre it would likely not be any better as a story.

Sounds like a problem of quantity vs quality.

Its easy to follow the same over ised formula. The writing world suffers from this greatly, people are able to make stories/books and put them out into the world and flood the entire scene. it's nice that people get tge chance to follow their dream, but there is no denying that there is far more garbage then there is quality.

There are far more....not great games out there. Poor story, crappy animation, character design etc.

all that just makes the quality games so much better in the end. It's easy to make a cheap sloppy game, it's tougher to make something that's actually good.

Exactly, adult game devs find themselves in a really weird position market-wise. They can make safe, vanilla games that nobody buys or supports or they can try to go outside the box and risk losing it all to rules and regulations. I'm familiar with more than a dozen projects that scrapped their initial plans and resorted to make their games bland to comply to Patreon's requirements and lost most of their supporters that way. Damned if you do, damned if you don't

1) MC is a handsome chap with a horsecock and girls throw themselves at him after some time.
2) The family is fatherless and the MC establishes himself as the man of the house so now every female member must fuck him.
3) There's a doting mother, one nice sister who loves the MC and a mean bitchy sister who's cold/hostile towards him but becomes his bitch later nonetheless.
4) The progress from conversation to teasing to full blown sex is too quick. Often there's no paying any heed to the taboo nature of the relationship.
5) too many love interests. The MC must fuck every female character in sight. Mom's best friend? Fucked. Best friend's mom? Fucked. Sister's friends? Fucked. Sexy nurse/Doctor? Fucked. Female cop? Fucked. Maid? Fucked. The girl at the coffee shop? Fucked. None shall be spared.
6) doll bodies: every girl/woman has a downright supermodel/pornstar body and face. The tits don't droop even when braless! The skin is perfect without any blemishes and what not. No imperfections of any kind.

Is it too much to ask for something new?

If you are so disappointed, and think there is an opportunity, DO IT YOURSELF! I'm sure if you came up with a better script, successful devs would pay your for it. You sound like a petulant child, literally looking an entire harem of gift horses in mouth.

Its crazy how difficult it has become to give people money in a way that protects the consumer.

This is based on how you play. My first VN was Sisterly Lust. First play through, did not get a single family member. Got a walk through, got them all. Fell in love with Bella, did another walkthrough where she was the only one. This was by far my favorite route. Played again, got some of them pregnant, then went full on to get as large a harem as I could with as many of them pregnant as possible. Did a couple runs with just a couple of the girls, but again, went back to a Bella only route. Just because there are LI, doesn't mean you have to do them. I'm not a fan of games that you have to have sex with certain characters to advance the story line. Sometimes, I just don't like that character. I don't want to talk to them, date, touch, or have sex with. It should be my choice.

I recently had someone put this on my radar, and I look forward to diving into it; sounds like a good game.

I actually popped in here, and read through all the pages just to see what all had been suggested game wise; cause much like other forms of media the tropes will persist in most of it, but the gems stand out.
I saw Abere was in here, he has done great in both abusing the tropes to the extreme, and subverting them. I really like Tomboy Supremacy, it handles incest alright.

I uh, I hope I don't get in any kind of trouble m mentioning games, I saw someone list one as "shall not be named" and I don't know which one it is or if it was just a joke. If I overstep, I apologize.
But I found Ravenous handles it incredibly well in mu opinion, in that it exists, and it happens reasonably quickly but there are very distinct in world reasons for it, which makes what tropes we find tolerable.
I also believe Such a Sharp Pain handles it, remarkably well if in some incredibly fucked up ways. But I never got the feeling the taboo leaves just because events are happening.

So, just because most incest games are tropey, doesn't mean you can't find some that do break the mold.

I mean, giving people money is not the problem, going against some arbitrary law is. You could say the same for buying meth or virgin blood on a full moon And, as always, laws are dictated by what people tolerate. Patreon is not the only crowdfunding platform, but it is the biggest one and nobody bothers to try and make a new one.
