Using my pc rn and compared to android post are way different, full vertical profile info vs the mobile tiny squares and no info is def a big upgrade on using desktop website, might have to switch my phone browser to desktop site for LC so I can actually see people's stuff. Didn't realize you could see join dates, roles, and all the other info because on android it only has the "badges" but they're not legible.

Still a little more than two hours until 2025 for me, but thought I'd wish my fellow Lewders a Happy New Year as I officially kick off my NYE tradition of the last several years: charcuterie & wine. Instead of bubbles, I've got a nice Spanish-style red blend from a California vineyard I like.

After the snack, I'll put the cornbread in the oven to go with the midnight black-eye peas (it's a Texas and Southern US tradition, and, yes: while we comprise what is the Southern Central US, Texas is its own thing ).

So, cheers, Lewders, and Happy 2025!

I can relate, I'm dog sitting for my sister and only things I have to celebrate with are my cat and her dog. Very comfortable though at least

Drinking some dreadful alcohol my sis said I could take because she hates it (Bacardi Black) and some typical snacks but enjoying the peace. Charcuterie sounds wonderful though.

I hate that I've gotten old and curmudgeonly and hate being around people, because I think New Year's is the best fuckin holiday. It's a calendar holiday, a human holiday. Not religious or astronomical. We could have the year change over in May or September and it would be just as valid. But we've just (mostly) collectively agreed that this day, at this time is when the year changes, and there is something really beautiful and inspiring about that. Happy New Year's, Auld Lang Syne, and to all a night of merriment and optimism and hope for the coming year.
