I've had this argument with many a person.... Neko aka Cat girls, to me, are the gateway furries. They seem to be the "grey" transition area into furrydom. It's similar to inviting your non-gaming friend over to play Catan with your board gaming/rpg loving friends.... they love Catan and then you get them hooked deeper and deeper into board gaming then BAM! New D&D players!

Good morning Mr. Nobody. Doing good except for a bit of a cough. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well.

I started to respond to a couple of the posts about gifts, but wasn't sure I could formulate my thoughts properly. I don't give gifts, and prefer not to receive gifts. I appreciate the sentiment, but rarely the gift itself.
When I do receive gifts, they almost always end up being donated. I'm a tough person to shop for, and for that same reason, I'm self conscious about getting something for somebody else.

But when I look back at the gifts I've received or given that I really remember, money isn't usually involved. Heartfelt notes, anonymous things, experiences shared. So, I don't buy gifts for people, and ask them not to do so for me. And I can afford to buy gifts, and my friends and family can afford to buy gifts. I just won't appreciate the gifts. Exactly as you say, a gift doesn't need to be a physical one.

Yeah,

I REALLY appreciate the sentiment of a gift. But I appreciate a heartfelt note hand written inside a cheap card, or a sketch, an afternoon hike, or those things more. The best gifts I gave or received were when I was growing up poor, and they had little to do with how much money was spent.

Yeah, maybe I should just shut up. Everybody already knows I'm fucked up in the head!



I was going to be busy today, but ends up I'll be lurking and playing games, and playing with myself. So to speak
