Printers suck. Haven't had one in years. They always break down within a year or 2, starting with minor problems that get worse and worse.

Yeah. The crap they sell now days is really poor quality.

Makes me wanna...

I have one printer that's about 15 years old now, and still works great. Gone through three other color printers in the mean time because I need color for some of what I do. Frustrating, but I need to be able to print.

Yeah.

It can be mitigated by blocking devices from accessing the internet through the firewall. We had some devices like this constantly trying to reach outside the network, so started blocking them. Had one off brand router try that crap, reaching out to overseas servers. Shit canned that one, and no more off brand stuff. Have to do manual installs of updates, but a small price to pay for a tiny bit more security. Still not fooling myself into feeling like I'm not still being violated every second by something that was missed.

Yeah I use French press once in awhile and I can tolerate that. I don't use sugar though, only creamer at most. Once in awhile a nice flavored creamer is nice though.

You might consider cold brew coffe, you can't get a more basic coffe than that. If i remember correctly, the process was created for a lady that could not stand traditional coffee's acidity.

It's also quite good as cocktail ingredient. A simple recipe

• 1 Oz/30ml of Campari
• 1Oz/30ml sweet vermouth
• 1/2 Oz/15ml molasses rum (not an agricole) Havana Club 3 yrs or Bacardi work just fine
• 1/2 Oz/15ml cold brew coffee (a coffe liquer if you want a sweeter taste)

Pour everything in a glass filled with ice, stir, enjoy... I think I'm going to make one for myself...cheers!

In these days of wireless / bluetooth technology even air-gapped computers and printers still have possible vulnerabilities. My last employer took that shit VERY seriously, computers did not have any kind of removable disk media and flash drives had a coded recovery key that changed every 12 hours.

Never did that kind of thing. Mostly I just setup blocking, firewall rules, and virtual networks that *should* prevent access.
