I always just make a save at every choice to be safe, but in this one the only difference is which path you choose. Harem is the default main one, Alice = you basically kidnap Alice and run off with her, so a branch in the story. Macy is a big one, in Haerm path she is dead, in Macy path she lives and you fuck her even though in the present she's nearing 60 and her pussy is probably drying out (bring some lube). Leana/lolis path was skipped being added last update to work on the main Harem path, but I'm going to assume when it's added you kidnap the lolis and dodge Amber alerts while fucking them.

not sure if you guys know, but 99,9% of the games here are upload/updated by the staff, the dev having the ownership of the thread means that he wants to get in touch with his fans, but less than 10 devs update their own game threads, some at least report to us that their games have an update, so we download, make mirrors and update the threads. But we have a 14-days rule, so we only update games that had their first release after 14 days, or it was leaked elsewhere (any other site). I personally did my best to show Ketzal respect, I even fought for things that I cannot share here, because his presence here was really good for our community as a whole. But let's get something clear, 99% of the updates are made by staff, so having a dev here or not has barely no impact in how the updates are made, doesn't even make them faster, as we update when we can (after 14 days from the first release), and usually we already know about the updates because I made some scripts to help me with this part

My remaining question is, Lets say I am plodding along and I make a save at some point, and then I decide to click on the Alice or Macy box, what will happen? will my old save be null and void and then the game will take me in some other direction and never be able to return to my old save??

No, you save, you follow that path and continue saving, when you finish the one you chose, then you go back to that save you made previously and choose the other option, and continue with it... for example harem or family. , if you go through the harem you finish and then where you saved, you choose a family and continue until the end, in both cases when there are divisions again, you save the game again and choose a path, and again the same, you finish the path, you return to the saved game and choose the other path

Ketzal has been good so far in keeping saves between updates compatible, so if you made a save at a choice where it branches (easy to tell this from turning on the walkthrough in settings, it explains what a choice does or means when turned on), say decide to kidnap Alice you are on that path to the end of the update. Then you can go back and load the save where it branches and pick the other choice and play that one. *still wishing I could do the same in real life* I do recommend naming saves to remind you where paths split and what path you are on, I've been playing it since the start so have hundreds of saves myself.
