Jason Schier, I think Speld Rigth was bragging on Twitter that it was top of the Steam charts It did not last long Monster Hunter beta came along and smashed it it ended up having over 400k on Steam

I wonder if the problems I experienced earlier with the MHW beta has something to do with the sheer amount of players enjoying it. I kept on loosing connection with the game servers.

Well, it sadly is the best launch of an EA game on Steam. Numbers are low compared to what it should be, but managers will still praise they got a record. And they will make something even worse later on

On a more serious note, I wonder if this will mark the end of Bioware or, better, what's left of it.

Probably not going to take it down with Mass Effect in development. The player count numbers are okayish enough to make this not a total bomb. Though if reviews remain in the realm of where they are, unlikely they are going to be able capitalize on things like DLC to make this profitable.
