For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

What do you think of them

I enjoy the side games.

I have a love hate relationship with them

I agree than more often than not they tend to detract from a game more than enhancing the experience. If you want to celebrate the holidays, a few seasonal renders are more than enough.

They can be funny and silly things to enjoy, but they should not interfere with the work on the main game. I don't play a game for the side dishes, I'm waiting on the main course!

I wouldn't mind if some of the games that have holiday updates were released as a picture set or something like that. Often these holiday updates are never mentioned in the main part of the games I've played, so it almost seems like they never really even happened (story wise) anyway. I do appreciate it when the devs make them a standalone update though, that way if I don't feel like I want to play it then I wouldn't even encounter it in the game itself.

They are all pointless and divert resources from the main game.
Resources are limited, don't be an idiot with them.

I almost never play them unless they get experimental with their content or the character design are good and I want to see more. They are mostly a waste of time if it doesn't progress the plot,

They're a waste of time that could be better spent on moving the game forward

So.... in favor?

They are okay I guess. I really haven't found any good ones. But I can understand if the dev needs a break from the main story.

For me, there is no issue in adding thematic scenes or content, provided that the progress in the development doesnt stop jut to add it. Maybe as a DLC is the best option for that kind of content

Holiday updates just feel like the same thing over and over again. How many times do we need to have Christmas outfits added?

I think they can be a nice distraction IF something actually fun and intersting is done with them, sadly that is rarely the case

It is a nice to play but not a must. I usually do not play them.

What do you think of holiday specials in Adult games? I HATE them, because usually they're dumb AND they delay getting the next real episode done.

I don't like them, especially the fact that it delays the progress of the actual game

Largely indifferent. I'd rather have a regular update, but I don't "hate" them per se. If it looks decent enough I'll even play them.

Not a fan of holidays in general, even less of the stolen/perverted christian/commercial versions of them, so i also dont like the specials in games and series (you cant escape christmas episodes).
However, i absolutely hate it when devs dont make them standalone, but add them unavoidable in their games. I'm stuck in multiple games because some special/eventchain killed the mood and i'm unable to skip unseen content...except for dick infected sex scenes.

If they're part of the main game, just happening alongside an holiday, like some sitcom series, I don't mind.
If they're standalone releases that don't connect to the game, like a non-canon spinoff, then I hate it.
