She is definitely peak character design, I think Capcom knew she was gonna have fans right away!
Same here, hopefully I will have some friend's pick it up on release too otherwise they won't be hearing from me for awhile haha!
If Gemma is one of the girls I saw on the gif up above, I can clearly understand why. She looks amazing, and I would definitely like to see some porn with that character very soon.
Hey there! I haven't gotten the chance to really play much of the demo yet, but from what I can tell it feels very much built upon the style and ideas Capcom did with World.
Very cinematic and story focused with a Westernized feel.
As for the game itself, it looks great, the character creator seemed really in depth, the first experience with the mount system was pretty on rails but I imagine that opens up more. I mostly checked out how the usual weapons I used felt and changed on a practice dummy but hopefully I will get the chance to play a bit more later today and really get a feel of the gameplay.
I also thought this was silly. I get not liking spiders but a setting to censor them is wild. lol.
True, I don't get this. What if I have a phobia of lizard (some monster in monhun)? Or phobia of bodyparts get chopped off (common mechanic in monhun)? Or godforbid phobia of monster? Now what? If you create a monster game but cut yourself short with spider type model because you don't want to trigger the arachnophobia people, then the other phobias will want it too, there's no end to it. I feel like this thing is part of "It is what it is", kinda like phasmophobia, you afraid of ghost? Well too bad, this game is about ghost

I am right there with you. We are in this weird place where developers and people in general have this need for everything to be safe and appealing for everyone, which leads to a lot of things getting watered down.
It's like the ability to look at something and go "that's cool, but it's not for me" got lost somewhere along the way and now the lack of that mindset is being catered to.

Yeah! This is Gemma, she is the blacksmith in the game and hopefully the r34 will be flourishing soon!

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you two and push back a little bit. While I'm also not the one to be afraid of spiders, for those who need this kind of feature, it's definitely something that can make the game more accessible to them. And, the best part of this is that it's hidden away in the settings, and you can easily just not interact with this option at all. Or, even better, you can turn this on for the memes — especially if the mode is funny as hell, like in Lethal Company or Satisfactory. That, or you might do that for the benefit of the viewers if you're a streamer or content creator.
And lastly, it's not really productive to go "Why haven't they also included this kind of accessibility?" Best to raise that concern to the actual developer and contact them directly, especially if you would stand to directly benefit from it yourself.
Otherwise, I don't feel frustrated about the "things getting watered down for the sake of being appealing for everyone", especially here. As I said, it's an optional thing, and you can just ignore this being an option altogether, so saying anything other than "That's cool, but it's not for me" is just wrong. And, in line with that philosophy, you're also welcome to exercise that notion on games that are a little too "catering for everything to be safe and appeal to everyone" and find some experiences that don't include these kinds of accomodations. What you can't deny is that there is a set of people that clearly benefits from this kind of experience being present in gaming, they have clearly not been served basically anything even 10-15 years ago, and that those kinds of people also deserve the benefit of being able to participate in video games.

So the only thing brought from Rise is the mount system?
I'll play on PS5 too but I don't have plus active, right now. can't wait to start the beta test.
A lizard ain't a lizard unless it's godzilla. Pfft wannabe lizards we want king lizards. Ok yes this is what happens when you force me to be social and entice me with tropheys. Deal with it. .

It definitely feels different than the Rise mount system, but somewhat similar. It really feels like a successor to World more than Rise with the slinger being back and the overall aesthetic.

Yep, I forgot to ask. Is the sling as OP as in Iceborne? I still play some solo mission with my Kabedon set from time to tim in order to get my game back in shape
Agreed. Social life pfft. I don't like it 2500 pages of wrong. I like my bubble and no friends it's comfortable. This whole anti-social social bizness is scary. Hold me. No don't respect the bubble.

I honestly haven't played enough of the demo yet to tell. In the opening sequence you are mounted trying to race through this pack of monsters trying to save somebody, you can use it to sling stones to stun the monsters that are chasing you, and then you use it to pull down some rocks to block them off but all that felt very scripted so I don't have a good idea of how it will feel in the actual combat yet sorry.

i have to second that; accessibility options (as long as they are optional, and off by default ) are great.
i get turbo motion sick, and need to play 3d games with at least 120 fov if i wanna last more then 15 minutes, so fov sliders are the first thing i look in a game's options.
i have a friend who's colorblind, and does the same for colorblind mode. accessibility options like "arachnophobia mode" or "less gore" are harmless to the regular user and great for the ones who would want them.
i am on the fence in regards to difficulty options, i personally think they actively detract from a game's intended experience, but that's a whole other discussion

Damm... I just realized I need friends to play Monster Hunter... You can play with some rando, but it's not the same thing...
What to do? Earn the respect of this community or give in to my feelings for Gemma?

No problem. I just have to wait for a couple of days to see for myself.
Than the excruciating wait for the full demo will begin... life is full of suffering...
