I think you suggest it, they accept it and then you confirm it, so you're the last one. But I'm not sure.
I don't understand it. Yeah, let's not incentivate it, but why the fuck it's illegal? Why someone can be put in jail for that? It's two consenting adults who aren't doing any harm.
I get the inbreeding which can cause some sort of things, but the sex and marriage themselves aren't it.
Napoleon position was interesting. He considered it to be a moral and not a legal issue. So he said it had no place in the law, but it was responsibility of the church to fight it.
When the french annex many europeans countries during this time, they exported the "code civil" and in many place in western europe, law is still inspired of this base, that's why incest is legal.
At least the state of Ohio caveat makes sense, that being a parent or similarly legal guardian could be tried for it, since it may be seen as the younger party may be in an incorrect state of mind/consent.
In many place where consensual incest is legal, there is often a specific consent age for it, to reduce the risk of grooming. Also, incest is still considered an aggravating factor in case of rape. Mental grip is a problem that also exist in many non incest relationship unfortunately, there is a need of more sex education for young people to know what's ok and what's not.
Example: in France, consensual incest is legal with a consent age of 18 (15 for other relationships).
Yeah... That's the sad part about translations, 9/10 times something is lost. Thatcs why it's better to learn the language and that doesn't just mean reading and writting/speaking but learning the culture(s) that speak it natively, the idioms, the pop culture references, the humor...
For language which are close there isn't a lot of loss. Translating from an asian language into an european one, there is a lot, because the whole cultural system is different. Also they often translate in english, then in other language from the english version, so if this one was faulty, all the other are. Princess mononoke had a problem like that in the first translation, Kaya was incorrectly mentioned as Ashitaka's sister, when she was in fact betrothed to him. The problem come from insufficient taking into account of the cultural context.
Well...

I would love to own some historical guns as a curiosity standpoint, but I don't want working versions. I don't need it
I had an old First World War pistol i inherited from my great grandad but it was disarm. Here in Europe, guns laws are generally quite strict. There is a lot less murders than in USA.
As i'm at it, thanks to those who recommend me Cosy Cafe, i'm playing it now, it's quite good.
