I know, but at least there's a bit of truth there, albeit exaggerated/distorted. But the romantic/sexual part of it has exactly zero real issues, yet people come up with issues of their own the same.

There may be truth there, but they're just using it as an excuse, since if the interest was actually in reducing the likelihood of genetic mutations, they'd also ban people with existing genetic issues from having kids.
