People who are in prison for it, it's mostly because they were denounced, often by other family members or by neighbors.

What amaze me with the map is there is a surprisingly high amount of blue and that USA are the most red place in the world (worse incest laws than some muslim or african countries, that's something).

I don't understand it. Yeah, let's not incentivate it, but why the fuck it's illegal? Why someone can be put in jail for that? It's two consenting adults who aren't doing any harm.

I know, but at least there's a bit of truth there, albeit exaggerated/distorted. But the romantic/sexual part of it has exactly zero real issues, yet people come up with issues of their own the same.

I'd like to see any peer reviewed studies that say this. It doesn't have a mechanism for addiction anywhere like a physically addicting substance (where going cold turkey can kill you without medical support.)

That's the kind of holistic thinking we try to foster in this thread.
