There is a high risk of grooming, where the adult will prepare the child/teen to be with them as soon as they turn legal. And this is a big issue because it's almost impossible to prove grooming in those cases.

So it's easier to outlaw incest entirely. And if it helps discourage people from abusing their kids, then I'm all for it.

And it goes even deeper than that as the grooming itself might not be malicious or altogether intentional on the part of the authority figure (i.e. they might not even realize they are doing it). It can happen gradually and seem natural. It's exceedingly hard to distinguish between that and natural attraction. That is less so the case with siblings if they are relatively close in age (up to a few years of age difference). Is the older sibling taking advantage?

As you said, in order to protect the minors, most jurisdictions choose to outlaw the practice entirely and I think that's the right approach. The fringe cases where no grooming or abuse has taken place are acceptable collateral. There is no way to known what percentage of cases fall into that category, but I doubt it's all that high.

I honestly can't see what's morally wrong with incest. I know about the possible genetic problems in case an incest couple decide to have kids, but that's something easily avoidable. But what makes incest MORALLY wrong? Like, what makes some people so disgusted about it?

Well, mostly it is because IRL incest is very VERY seldom between consenting adults. It almost always involves some sort of abuse of a power dynamic. Parents/children, older/younger sibling, etc. And frequently it is initiated by someone who was abused or molested themselves, perpetuating the cycle. To me, it's not about concerns over mutated/genetically damaged offspring, it's about real sexual abuse, even if the victim doesn't realize they are being abused.

To be clear, in cases of adult, fully consensual incest, as far as I am concerned, not my circus, not my monkeys... I neither approve nor disapprove, as it is really none of my damn business. But while I am very much turned on by the typical fictional incest in adult stories and games, I have no interest in participating in it in real life, any more than I want to be a drug kingpin in real life just because I enjoy playing one in GTA online.

Don't know anything about him as I haven't encountered him in real life. I only know that one of the reasons for the disappearance of the few (they were really very few) Neanderthals was widely practiced incest - for obvious reasons. Their communities were very isolated, they were very reluctant to contact their neighbors - it was easier to look for partners among close relatives. Eventually, the more numerous and more sociable Cro-Magnons simply absorbed them through mestizization. Neanderthals were really very few in number - they can be compared to the number of Innuits in modern Europe.
It's about the benefits of incest.
