I have always been interested in different types of fetishes, but incest has always been particularly strange/interesting to me. Not in a bad way, but I wonder if you know or have any theories as to what could be the origin or reasons why incest is so popular or attention-grabbing (considering that in porn it is one of the largest categories). There is also a difference between generational IRL incest like the Habsburgs you motioned and some dude e.g. fucking his sister and having a child with her, there are good chances the child will be ok.
Inbreeding does NOT mean that a child conceived that way will be automatically be retarded or suffer mayor health issues, the risks are just higher, real harm comes from generational inbreeding, again Habsburg as an example.

Rhode Island allows it between two consenting adults, but there's a legal catch 22 if they feel like there was grooming involved. Ohio recognizes a "partnership" between siblings even if it won't issue marriage which is more than Rhode Island will allow. Basically you can be put on each other's taxes in Ohio, but you're not officially married according to the state which IMO is more friendly than Rhode Island who simply allows trists between 2 consenting adults as long as they don't actually suspect any wrong doing at all. It's kind of like the catch 22 obscenity laws where Oklahoma can arrest you for having a book depicting a murder at any given time if they actually wanted to detain you for whatever reason badly enough. It was one of those horrible teachers arresting a teenager when the marker bled onto the desk. It's not common practice by any means. It wasn't prosecuted they more or less took the kid home. The teacher got a slap on the wrist as well for "corruption of a minor" for requiring the students have the permanent markers in the first place so essentially the teacher was guilty of pushing a minor to commit a crime.
