Just checking in and will try to catch up a little on some of the other threads.

Seems someone or something knocked out the power that boosts the cable and internet signal to about 100 of the houses in my neighborhood last night, so I got chased off early and didn't get back until early this afternoon. Way behind on all of my "pleasure surfing" because of it. Glad I still have it though - back when I was having serious connectivity issues they reran the line from the pole to my house, but ran it from a different pole that increased the length of the run and put it in greater jeopardy from trees and limbs. Was out back and looked across the yard yesterday to see that a recent thunderstorm had broken off a limb - landed smack in the middle of the cable run. Been here over 20 years, and within 6 weeks of the new line placement, it gets hit.

Told them that was a bad place to put it. Things still work, but I think the connections aren't as solid as they should be based on the way my cable and internet have been acting the last week or so. Time to get the morons back out.
