It did but it lost tons of money, even for an indy-ish film.
Matthiacallus, if you hate it, you hate it. I'm not going to change your mind. Nor would I want you to.

But I do feel a heroic "double standard" in some people other than matthiacallus. (I've talked to the latter enough to know)
In Arlington Road, for example, there's a laundry list of "why the hero was stupid".
But in a standard movie, when I give MY laundry list of "why the villain was stupid"... my detractors often say I just don't understand movies.
Or worse, I get a puritanical "stories are to let people know what the right thing to do is."... BARF...

AGAIN, this is not referring to matthiacallus.

But it does seem that a dum dum like me would be a better villain than 99% of the movie and literature villains.
And since I am a dum dum... it feels like "This is where you fall down." is the cue for villains to fail. (props if you know this without looking it up)
i.e. its forced and unnatural. And NO. I don't want villains to fail "better". I want them to win.

Thank the Dark Lord for Games, both video and pen and paper, where I can be a villain and win.

Your issue seems really to be with stupid writers. A villain protagonist story where the characters are still written by idiots would have the same issues. We just had an example of that with The Acolyte. Which isn't to say they are always that way, I really liked Lord of War for example.

Oh and I agree with you that people who say you don't have "media literacy" when you point out plot holes and stupid character choices can go fuck themselves.

I agree, Winter Sucks, I liked it as a kid. Now it's just a lot of F-ing Work. Cold work. If only there was a Site or community that someone could waste away the whole season Lurking and Finding games to play till things thaw out again...

I always found very dumb that you can't use MicroSDs for anything on cellphones. You can't install sames on them, you can't save camera photos on them, you can't set the app media folder in them. You just have to manually move the things you want, and then lose access to them inside the apps...

The problem is most SD cards are cheap memory, they aren't designed for the rigorous constant rewriting the memory in your hard memory. SD cards fail a lot and phone companies don't want the blame for you losing your pruff

I've had videogame systems that read game and save data from the SD and never had any problems with it.
If data "safety" was an issue, the smartphone could just write easily redownloadable data on the SD card, such as apps and games, and user data and settings on the smartphone itself.
But they don't do that, and I'm sure a big reason is that they want users to just buy a phone with a bigger memory.

Same. you cant do much to get away from the heat. I can always add a layer in the cold.

Yeah that makes sense. I've only ever used any SD card I've had for pics and music. I have thousands of pics of my kid from before birth to now and that is memories I'd really hate to lose. Same with the songs. Thousands and would hate to have to redownload those.

Same, where I originally lived it was usually pretty cold, except for the Summer. Now I'm living in misery in the sweltering weather. It's starting to cool off now, but I hate the heat.

I HATE snow. Especially hate cold weather as I'm now anemic and feel cold in the low 70°s and also have arthritis, etc so even if it's warm in if it's cold out my joints hurt. Also, around here there aren't fresh fruit and vegetables for the most part when it's not warm and I don't eat frozen or canned vegetables.

I have an SD card for my phone. I only use it for all the music I download and pictures of my kid. That way when I get a new phone I can transfer it all over to it. But I never lose access to it. The pics still show up in the gallery and songs in the music app. Been using the same SD for a couple phones now.

I think this is the only use, manually selecting what media you want there.
The gallery works because it shows all media in internal and external storage, but if you move WhatsApp photos and videos for example, you won't be able to see it anymore from the conversations.

Like I said, I've had many videogame systems that ran games from SD without any issue. If the SD card is not a bootleg, I think it would work just fine.
If it's pirated or such... Well, it's not really surprising if they fail...
But my point was, not even common apps like WhatsApp let you put the media folder on the SD.
I don't open received photos and videos frequently, and those occupy a lot of space, but I don't want to lose it nor manually move it all the time, so it's very cumbersome...
