I agree, sometimes the bad guy winning is awesome. There was a recent Nicholas Cage movie that did this well, and I loved it. I try to go into movies blind so I don't know tp expect. So I'm truly surprised whoen the bad guy wins

When I went t see Se7en in theater with my friends, the reel broke when Kevin Spacey turned himself in.
We had sneaked in from another movie because I was underage, so I didn't get a refund, but didn't know how the movie ended.
TBH, it's a pretty lame ending if it ends before the box scene.

They're solid, they have a lot of slow parts, but overall decent movies.

Lots of love from fans and normies alike.
I've already got them, just haven't watched them.

X-Men was great, except the Phoenix Saga. I don't think I ever really liked it.

I don't really remember liking it all that much, but I was a young boy. So nostalgia again, I'm sure.
I can play the opening theme song in my head whenever I want, though.

Atleast Kevin got the other Arkham games, Suicide Squad was a bad swan song, from what I heard. I never really played it, originally I was interested then it went all GAAS and stuff, and I was thought "Nope, not for me!".

Just go on an find the Batman's death scene from that game.

Arlington Road? Really? I really did not like that movie.
It seems like the MC was a dumb idiot who ignored literally every red flag.
I understand you have a contrarian view on standard hero stories, but I thought it was just a bad movie.
It didn't even get released in theaters, did it?

It did but it lost tons of money, even for an indy-ish film.
Matthiacallus, if you hate it, you hate it. I'm not going to change your mind. Nor would I want you to.

But I do feel a heroic "double standard" in some people other than matthiacallus. (I've talked to the latter enough to know)
In Arlington Road, for example, there's a laundry list of "why the hero was stupid".
But in a standard movie, when I give MY laundry list of "why the villain was stupid"... my detractors often say I just don't understand movies.
Or worse, I get a puritanical "stories are to let people know what the right thing to do is."... BARF...

AGAIN, this is not referring to matthiacallus.

But it does seem that a dum dum like me would be a better villain than 99% of the movie and literature villains.
And since I am a dum dum... it feels like "This is where you fall down." is the cue for villains to fail. (props if you know this without looking it up)
i.e. its forced and unnatural. And NO. I don't want villains to fail "better". I want them to win.

Thank the Dark Lord for Games, both video and pen and paper, where I can be a villain and win.
